First, we walk in and the manager greeted us and a big smile. Then while waiting in line he gave everyone in the restaurant a free cookie. Next when my friend got a California BLT and after she started eating it realized it was missing the avocado (an honest mistake). She asked for a slice of avocado to put on the other half, but the manger insisted he would make a new one, and when he brought it to our table he apologized again and gave us an extra three cookies.
Even without the cookies, the willingness to go the extra mile with a simple mistake, as well as the warm and welcoming atmosphere I highly recommend this Baggin’!
Needless to say Baggins is making a killing on the margins of these salads. A pound of chicken breast can be had almost any day of the week at a grocery store for $1.99, we’ll add $1 to that value to account for the intensive labor it takes to boil a chicken breast and we’re looking at a whopping 19 cents per oz of cooked chicken. After tax we paid just under $40 for two salads. $40 salads and about 80 cents worth of chicken between the two of them.
It wasn’t even enough chicken to satisfy a toddler. We know this because our two year old asked for some of it. We gave him some, and then the rest of it. And when he was done eating it he asked for more. Not only did they short us, but they shorted our toddler too. Slow clap for Baggins everyone. Slow clap.
When I started writing this review I was dead set on giving them a charitable two stars, because the cookies are still excellent. But now I’ve realized that not even the best cookies in town can make me forgive them for shorting my son. Sorry Baggins, maybe one day we can be friends again.
Sean had a great attitude the entire time, carried himself with patience, and showed true care in making sure everything was just right. You can tell he takes pride in his work and in treating people with respect. It’s rare to find someone who can make an ordinary lunch run feel like a genuinely positive experience, but Sean did exactly that.
He was attentive without being pushy, quick without cutting corners, and made me feel like my order actually mattered. In today’s world, it’s not every day you come across someone so dedicated to both kindness and quality.
I can honestly say that Sean made a lasting impression, and I’ll definitely be coming back because of the way he treated me. If anyone deserves recognition, it’s him. Baggins is lucky to have such a top-notch person on the team.
want the same as you… I don’t come here often and I when I do it’s specifically for special food. This is also not good for business as she is limiting the amount of money customers are spending. I wish her manager would talk to her and tell her to stop this. She’s a really nice girl and always pleasant and professional but I do think this should be addressed.
