It was about 830-9pm. Literally not sure why but we were the only people in the restaurant when we walked in and then a few more people trickled in. The mozzarella squares were delicious. My friend ordered a burger with an extra burger and it looked like he was trying to eat a soup burger. The fries were good. I had the regular burger it was all right!

Amanda was amazing! She was very attentive and friendly! Also, I need to mention that this food was AMAZING! This is the first time ever that my burger was made to perfection. The garlic aioli to dip the super scrumptious fries in was phenomenal! I highly recommend Bagger Dave’s in Birch run! Oh, and the drinks are great. Be sure to try the orange creamsicle.

We like to stop by for a burger when we are in town. They have a wide variety of options to choose from. There is a $10 lunch menu that has good value. They have a wide array of adult beverages to select from including local craft beers. The restaurant itself looks a little tired and could use some updates. If you’re considering Bagger Dave’s Burger Tavern in Birch Run, Michigan, do yourself (and your wallet) a massive favor and keep driving. This place is a complete disaster from the moment you walk in until the bitter end—and trust me, you’ll feel bitter.
The host at the door greeted us like we were crashing his personal chat session with the staff. Zero smile, zero warmth, just a confused glare as if we were interrupting something important. It set the tone perfectly for what was to come: a restaurant that clearly doesn’t care about customers.
Our waitress was an absolute nightmare. She ignored our table for the entire meal, lavishing all her attention on one larger group while we sat there waving for refills, extra napkins, anything. When she finally bothered with us, she got our order completely wrong—ignoring every single detail about our low-carb requests like they were optional suggestions. Her attitude? Shitty doesn’t even begin to cover it. Rude, dismissive, and zero accountability.
Then the food arrived, and oh boy, it was pathetic. The All American burger (for a whopping $15, mind you) was a sad excuse for a restaurant-style burger. It tasted like a thin, pre-shaped frozen patty that had been microwaved into submission—thin, flavorless, and nowhere near what a real burger should be. Not even fast-food quality. It was an insult to burgers everywhere. The fries? Soggy, limp, and gross to the touch—like they’d been sitting under a heat lamp since breakfast. The chicken tenders were no better—just soggy, breaded wetness that had clearly sat around way too long. And the bowl of chili? More like a watery soup of beans with zero chili flavor. Bland, soupy, and utterly disappointing.
The place itself is a mess too. Tables were dirty and waxy, like they hadn’t seen a proper wipe-down in days. The atmosphere is loud and dark—probably intentionally dim to hide the low-quality food and grimy environment. It feels cheap and neglected.
To top it all off, the waitress strong-armed the tip at the end by sliding the payment kiosk over while the tip screen was glaringly visible, staring us down like we owed her for the privilege of being ignored and served garbage. Zero class.
I feel genuinely sorry for my family that we wasted a meal (and money) here. This was our one and only visit, and I will never step foot in this Bagger Dave’s again. If you’re in Birch Run and craving a burger, do literally anything else—fast food would be an upgrade. Avoid at all costs. 0/10. Absolute trash.

ABSOLUTELY STELLAR!! My fiancé and I were debating on a place to eat before we hit the movies at 7pm. We got seated within 5-10 minutes (Saturday night dinner time) and our server was super kind and efficient.
We had our appetizer within 5 minutes of placing our order, which was delicious ! We also had a our food 10 minutes after that. All in all, we were there for 30-35 minutes max. About to drive to the theater as I type this! Service was quick, kind, and awesome all around. ABSOLUTELY will be returning when we are in the area!

The food and drinks were delicious! I would absolutely recommend the house made sodas. We had pizza and BBQ chicken nachos and the portions were excellent. The pricing was reasonable. We sat at the bar and the bartender was kind, efficient, and despite being quite busy, she was pleasant and provided excellent service to us. We will absolutely return when we are in the area!
