Stopped in to grab some sandwiches for myself and kids on the way to the children’s museum. It was fantastic! Everything was made fresh to order and the service was excellent. Inside was cozy, but we chose to sit out front in the nice weather. Excellent sandwiches and would try again!

I am obsessed with the Philly cheesesteak with jalapeños in it. I keep coming back every week to get this sandwich after I came for the first time a couple weeks ago, it might just be my favorite Philly cheesesteak ever!! Also the owner is really kind and fun to talk to. You can tell he really cares about his customers and remembers your name if you show up a few times!

Highly recommend the Grinder. It’s the last picture in the sequence. I got the Baggby’s club on sourdough and it was delightful. If you want a classic sandwich this is they way to go! Now, the Grinder is next level. It the classic Italian sandwich taken to the next level. They have fresh lemonade, nothing else to say about that. Just get it!
We all got our kids a classic grilled cheese and pbj and it was nothing short of great!

The Shameless Foodie
I was underwhelmed. With all the hype for these sandwiches, I wasn’t impressed with the way my sandwich turned out – it tasted like a sandwich I could get from a school cafeteria with basic ingredients. As a sandwich-lover, even for a basic turkey sandwich there are ways to make it taste delicious. I got a turkey sandwich and a pastrami sandwich, and both were not very flavorful or memorable. The pastrami in particular didn’t have the classic pastrami taste that I was looking for.
They do have a nice selection of chips and drinks though, cookies too, so those can supplement the sandwich.
Another tip, if you do plan to go for lunch, Expect to wait a long time – it seems they’re understaffed so I recommend ordering a while ahead of time and being patient. They’re working as hard as they can.

i don’t leave reviews much but this deserves it. I travel the entire state of VA for work. I sit down and eat lunch everyday because that is my time to relax. What I’m getting at is I have tried many places. Absolutely 10-10 best sandwich’s I have ever had all the way around. I will be back and I will be sending my friends and family here. P.S try the ALMOST RUEBEN.

Came here for lunch and was very pleased. Had 3 adult sandwiches and 2 kids sandwiches. Prices were very reasonable and sandwiches were very good. It’s a smaller shop but does have indoor seating which was nice since we visited on a rainy day. The gentleman at the counter was very nice and patient while we ordered and we got to chat with him a little bit as we were basically the only ones there at that moment. They also have some desert options including a giant chocolate chip cookie! Overall everyone enjoyed it and we will be back.

Vegetarians – They are willing to sub tofu for meat in sandwiches, just ask!
Amazing sandwich spot on the Downtown mall. The noodle side dish is also worth snagging. Soups are stellar. Outside dining or inside makes it great for enjoying a nice day on the downtown mall.

Always a great go to for work lunch. They deliver over to the clinic making it super convenient. My favorites are the remarkable sandwich on gluten free bread and the soup of the day (changes each day so I call ahead to ask). They have several gluten free options. Always delicious!
