While we often pick up frozen ones at Employee-owned Woodman’s, when west we love to get specialty bagels, salt being our favorite!
Our Household Recommendations:
Butter for the cinnamon-raisin.
Butter and honey for salt.
Whipped cream cheese and jelly for poppyseed.
Server was efficient and pleasant. A TOTAL DOLL!
Love,
MOMic

Nowadays, you’re walking out of most bagel places with a bagel and cream cheese for around $4. The bagels here are smaller than most, but I’m fine with that because I like the lower price. The quality is a step above chains like Panera Bread and Einstein Bros. They advertise traditional New York–style bagels made with better ingredients, such as no preservatives. The wait was a little long, but overall, it was a positive experience at this local, storied bagel place.

We’ve lived in Madison for 8yrs and never stopped here until today. What a mistake – we should have come on day 1! We ordered a dozen bagels (13 here), a lox sandwich, and a sausage egg n cheese sandwich = $19. And the sandwiches were positively delicious. I made some customizations to the lox sandwich and the girl taking our order was SO patient and friendly. We will absolutely be back! Love that they open early too. And there’s a good amount of parking. This was such a great experience.

The best bagel shop in town!! They have such delightful and affordable bagels with all kinds of fillings. My husband and I love their Lox and their breakfast sandwiches – egg, cheese and honey glazed ham. we come here every other weekend. It’s always packed with lots of people but they move pretty quick. I also simply love their EGG BAGELS and chocolate chip bagels!!!

Freshly made bagels every day. Delicious. Make sure you buy their house whipped cream cheese which is so much better than grocery store brand or Philadelphia cream cheese. They also have a small deli area where you can order a bagel sandwich.

Whenever I need lunch I come here. The bagel sandwiches are so delicious and incredibly priced for their quality. Staff are always pleasant and kind. The drink selection is the best I’ve ever seen

Definitely not a New York style bagel shop. After living in New York for several years and frequently eating at bagel shops, I’d expect any place that says NY style bagels to at least have a few gluten free and vegan options available.

I stumbled upon this store not knowing much about the establishment. To my surprise I found wonderfully priced sandwich bagels that were not only rather cheap but delicious. A total best bang for your buck situation. Good food great price. My one comment is after reading some reviews I would have to agree that it does require a bit of patience to get your order. I would with out a doubt come back. Its worth the wait for the insane price and quality you get

Disappointed to read “caramel color” on the ingredient list of your pumperknickel bagels. Caramel color is completely unnecessary to make a good bagel and frankly, unacceptable. It is known to be a carcinogen and linked to leukemia and cancers in mice. If I wanted a soda for breakfast, I’d choose one
The cinnamon maple bagels don’t have caramel color in the ingredient list, and taste great without it.
Surprised in a progressive town like Madison, this ingredient was overlooked. Nobody wants lab-generated dyes and chemicals in their food. I will not buy these anymore. Disappointed to say the least!

This is a local go to, and I love the branding/atmosphere– it feels like you’re stepping back into the 80s or 90s. I recommend the salt bagel with Lox! Really well priced, the perfect bagel size too. When it’s busy you need to take a number and it’s best to right down big orders on the clipboards.
