We ordered a couple bagels and a coffee $34 the credit card machine offered a choice of 18,20,25 or 30% tip. That drives me nuts when I’m standing at a counter ordering.
We did have a big group of players show up right behind us and I’ve worked in kitchens so I wasn’t expecting fast. They have us a number card to put on the table so I thought they will bring the food out when it’s ready. Nope they just called it out except ours. After seeing the players eating I went up and it’s was just sitting there. Fine whatever. Maybe I Missed it. I paid $17 for the lox bagel and as you can see in the picture was very short in lox and cream cheese. I actually came up and told the guy and I ended up buying more cream cheese $1.80 to make up for what they left off. Maybe they were caught off guard with the tourney but adjust your prices of you can’t make a decent product because you’re low on ingredients.
The service is terrible. It takes 20 minutes for a bagel sandwich to be cooked.
Was also concerned by the sign that boasts “there are no preservatives in our bagels”, but goes on to list “dough conditioner” as an ingredient. Overall, these bagels feel like an unsatisfying junk food.
The sandwiches feel slightly overpriced as well. The eggs on the bagel sandwiches are unseasoned and cooked by microwave, judging by the texture.
I do enjoy how spacious the environment feels upon walking into the business. The high ceilings hint that the business was once a bank. Sadly, the decor and seating is also lacking. Plastic outdoor chairs and benches feel too-widely spaced as if to discourage any groups larger than 3. Uncomfortable seating feels as if the owners do not wish for customers to linger.
The presentation is top-notch too. And those little crackers scattered around? They’re perfect for adding a bit of crunch and texture to each bite.
Seriously, if you’re looking for the ultimate comfort food experience, this clam chowder bread bowl is it. It’s hearty, flavorful, and feels like a warm hug on a cold day. Definitely a must-try!
