Continuously unsanitary
They don’t clean their knives. Time and time again my sandwich has had residue from the knife on it.
There’s better and safer options in town.
The people who work there are always friendly and polite but need to do a better job maintaining their workspace because they lost a customer today

The young man working here was very accommodating and made me feel welcome. He put together two sandwiches for me that were delicious; an egg everything bagel with cream cheese, lox, tomato and onion to share. Came with a side salad. Chose the cucumber salad which was fantastic. Was so good I decided to try a Greek omelette on a sesame oat bagel. Excellent as well. Prices reasonable and not ridiculous like other places. Proof that how friendly and helpful you are to customers makes a huge difference.

They know what they’re doing. Egg sammies are addicting and the bagels are perfect. Even the coffee and iced coffee are impressively good. Also their prices are super reasonable and way lower than nearby similar delis/bagel shops… I don’t live here anymore but this is my first stop every time I come back to LI.

Didn’t wanna put this on here but tried calling you guys and every time I called It just went right to saying it was busy and hung up. I just left the facility. I purchased a dozen bagels with cream cheese when I went to leave the brown bag was open. It and then I rolled the bag up to keep a hot and also my cream cheese was thrown into the brown bag with the bagels. When I got home my bagels were cold and there was one that was like already cut into it look like, and they honestly taste stale very surprised. Normally, I go there not very often once in a blue moon I go to get bagels, but very dissatisfied with this purchase the last time I went, the girl had given me a brown paper bag thankfully, she rolled it up, but I had to ask for a plastic bag as it wasn’t going to be so easy for me to hold that brown paper bag filled with the bagels. I feel spending over $30 for bagels. They could’ve at least been warm and they could’ve at least had a little bit of better service and not have my cream cheese thrown into the bag in the bag left wide open. I don’t think the bagels would have to hit to begin with to be honest with you like I said I would’ve preferred to have called and spoke to somebody rather than put this on here, but I didn’t have that option.

When going to pay, I told the cashier that I was using my debit card and asked her not to add the surcharge as this is an illegal practice. She took the card and ran it charging me the surcharge. I explained that is illegal and she said she does what she is told because she does not own the place. Everyone should know that only credit cards can add a surcharge. Not only will I not visit this place any more, It will be my mission to educate everyone about this illegal activity. Do not go here if you care about illegal business.

Ah… breakfast on Long Island can be something of delight given we have mastered the art of the bagel and the breakfast sandwich. Bagels by the Bay certainly doesn’t disappoint. I moved off the island five years ago and besides missing family and friends, the regret of not having the food I’ve grown up with and loved nearby you can bet anytime I go home to visit I’m eating my face off. If you’re in this area this is a great, casual place to grab either breakfast or lunch on the go or dine in as seating is offered. We came for breakfast and everything was delicious. Perfect bacon, egg and cheese on a roll as well as terrific everything bagel toasted with two overeasy eggs and bacon. Definitely stop in and try them out I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

I have been going to this place for years and I’ve never had an issue with the food, pricing or service. The bagels are delicious: large, crusty, but with a nice chew and taste. (and this is coming from a bagel-snob). The people behind the counter are always very nice and organized even when it’s busy.
I also like the locals/regulars who always eat here; they are very colorful and interesting to listen to. This is one of the few places remaining where you can sit down and get a nice bacon, egg, potato platter without having to wait for a table or endure slow table service or ridiculous prices. The home fries with ketchup are an acquired taste but I’ve grown to love them. FYI-The grill is on a little too high; sometimes eggs are cooked right but over on the outside.
