Bagel Pantry

Located on Millburn Avenue in Short Hills, New Jersey, Bagel Pantry offers breakfast sandwiches and approximately 15 types of bagels and a few other items. The plain bagel was fresh and the cream cheese very high quality. Take out is popular, while others take a break at the 8 or so small tables. The lighting is somewhat dreary, and the ceiling and walls perhaps worn, but the service was pleasant and the prices certainly reasonable.

My family has been going here since it opened. the gentleman running it is wonderful. opens at 530 am which is amazing and helpful. for someone who is working incredibly hard, he is also social and friendly. bagels wonderful, whitefish salad the best I have had in NJ and he makes it fresh himself. My kids who live in other states take a dozen bagels home with them everytime.

I’ve recently tried Bagel Pantry (through delivery a few times) and was very happy with the food. Bagels were fresh and soft. Their cream cheese was also good (the varieties i’ve tried included strawberry, walnut raisin, veggie and scallion). French Toast was really yummy and a generous portion size. My husband also liked the bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich. Bagel Pantry is a place we’ll regularly order breakfast from.

Ridiculous! I ordered a “Taylor ham, egg and cheese”…. I take it to go and get in my car and take a bite and it was disgusting, I took the “mystery meat” off of my sandwich and it looked nothing like Taylor ham. I called and complained and they gave my money back but the manager was rude and said “take it easy, relax” and all I said was if I ask for Taylor ham, I expect Taylor ham. I didn’t yell or anything just said I want my money back. What a joke. Don’t go here. If you don’t have a product, don’t agree to make it then. $6.15 for a mystery meat sandwich… in millburn NJ.

The white fish salad is probably one of the best I’ve ever had

I ordered an everything bagel and some lox spread and the service was good. Then i grabbed my bagel and put on my lox spread. the cream cheese tasted vile. It tasted pastey and gross. Very disappointed.

I ordered a French toast platter with turkey bacon. The bacon was over cooked and the French toast did not fully taste like…well…French toast. In my opinion, it needed a lot more cinnamon/vanilla extract. It tasted like lightly seasoned challah bread, not enough crisp and very thick and bready.

This is my favorite local bagel place. There is a great selection of freshly baked Bagels as well as an extensive menu. I have always gotten great service here and even though I have come at busy times the service has always been quick.
