Best bagels in Rochester. Plain and simple- they offer a wide variety of bagels and cream cheeses but do not have any form of breakfast sandwiches (keep that in mind if that’s what you’re looking for). I see a lot of negative reviews from a service perspective; I personally have never experienced this, and if I had, the bagel would instantly make up for it and I’d still return time and time again. If you want a darn good simple breakfast, this is your place.

Bagels we very good with a wide variety. It was weird they didn’t have a plain cheese bagel. Other than that, don’t bother asking for toasted because this it doesn’t make much of a difference. I am not sure their toaster works. The staff was very nice. I would go here again.

I am a resident physician who came off a 24 hour shift and came in at 2:42 pm on a Sunday for a bagel here since the place advertises it closes at 3. There was older lady with gray short hair with glasses who wasn’t even taking care of my order, but began to antagonize me and verbally harass me. She told me “we open at 5 am, and our bagel maker has been up and on his feet since 3 am. And you show up 10 minutes before closing.” I politely said that I finished work at 3 am so I understand. She says “So you could have taken a nap and come at 5. And don’t compare yourself to an older man. You’re young.” When I explained I worked in a hospital, she began to go on a rant about how she comes from a line of doctors and has a ton of surgeons in her family, so to not even try to sell my story to her because she knows it’s not legal to work 12 hours straight and that call is taken from home. I should have walked out well before, but ran over to the girl who had prepared the bagel and ran out crying. The bagel is also stale and disgusting. Stay away from this establishment and do not endorse it. Never in all my years of living have I been treated with such disrespect. All because I asked for a lightly toasted bagel. Whether the President of the US or a homeless person walks through a storefront door- each individual deserves to be treated with kindness and respect. I work way too hard for some unmeaningful, miserable stranger to insinuate I have no value and argue with me whether or not I work hard enough. Absolutely unacceptable.

Water boiled bagels! I haven’t had one since I moved west 50+ years ago. I moved back in time for COVID and am out exploring Rochester once again. These are wonderful bagels. Just the right amount of pop to the outer skin when biting in. Great flavors, plus bialys. I now stop by on my way home from a weekly meeting to get fresh bagels – the way they were meant to be.

Incredible selection of bagels and cream cheese. Service is fast and friendly. Prices are really comparable but portion sizes and cream cheese portions are really huge. The flavor and textures of the bagels is better than anywhere. A dozen is actually a bakers dozen so you feel like you are getting an even better deal at the end!

I have been a customer of bagel land for the past 4-5 months. Good bagels but for some reason they do not like toasting your bagels for you. I asked the lady once to toast my bagel and she asked if my toaster was working at home. Asked another time to toast my bagel with cream cheese and it was cold. The jalapeno cream cheese was also very bland and tasteless Was not pleased as I have gotten my bagels toasted at every other bagel establishment I have been to without any problems.

I’m a big fan of bagels and really liked the ones produced by Bagel Land. I’m new to Rochester and tried these bagels for the first time a few weeks ago. I was excited to go back today until I was ripped a new one by an older women behind the counter. I was scorned for having a punchcard even though I hadn’t bought a dozen at my first visit (the last person who rang me up gave it to me), and I understand that I misread it when I tried to use it today, but I don’t think that warrants the treatment I received today. I’ve talked up this location to many other new comers to the area and now I feel like that wasn’t warranted.

Great bagels! Go early for the best selections. There are so many choices and many types of cream cheese you’ll have to go often.

Place is so mid. Does not have meats to put on bagels (like what?). Only cream cheese and butter. Also after you order and have already paid, you have to tell the employee actually making your bagel 4 more times what you ordered while they whisper to you and can barely hear what they say.
