Everyone loves to complain about Fred, but he’s just a hard working man who gets annoyed when people are on their phones and holding up the line that he’s trying to move along. I’ve seen him be super friendly to regulars (including me) and go out of his way to do nice things for people. The other employees are also very nice, hard working guys, who always say hi and flash a smile, even when they are not waiting on you. The bagels and sandwiches here are good, and he does pizza bagels during the week that my boyfriend from CT still raves about (and gets every time he comes down here). Also, if you don’t have a lot of time and need a quick stop for breakfast or lunch, Fred will have you in and out in record time.

This is my favorite breakfast spot near work! The food is always fresh, and their homemade soup in the fall is absolutely amazing. I especially love their egg and avocado sandwich — not many places offer fresh avocado, but they do! Everything is clean, delicious, and made with care.

The owner fred is a disgusting excuse for a man. Young lady’s and women be very careful going in there alone as the owner Fred will try make comments about taking you on vacation or buying you this and that. I understand charging high prices if the quality of the food is good. It’s not good here though… But then again… bagel train down the road has much better quality, much better bagels, much better coffee and at a third of the price. This place is crazy. They have prime location to get good business but it seems like they done want that.

For some reason it’s become trendy to bash this place. I’ve been coming to Bagel Express for a decade and I’ve never seen the “rude owner” so many mention. I see a hard working guy running a great business.
The bagels are excellent. The sandwiches are excellent. They won’t cost less at another store. The coffee is fresh.
For the basics, it’s very good. If you want top of the line excellence for both bagels and baked goods, that’s Bagel Train down the road. But for bagel and a coffee, Bagel Express is great.

Poor customer service, owner was very rude. My first time in the store, I had ordered a plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese. Not knowing that I would be given cream cheese with strawberry instead(There is a difference). When I asked for a refund to resolve the confusion, I was denied.
None the less, I was very respectful and had a hard time understanding why the owner had such an attitude with me to where all he could say was “I know what I’m doing”. Not only did he not give me a refund for my order but he did not want to replace my choice of food. Completely discussed by the service here and certainly won’t be eating at this establishment again. Rating 1 out of 10.

How are you gonna charge the same price of a cold cut sandwich on a hero as a roll makes absolutely no sense I work next door to this place and I come here often today will be my last day. Everything is over priced the owner has a nasty attitude for what idk, it’s crazy how a can of monster cost more than a bagel with cream cheese. Definitely would not recommend coming here for anyone but I’ll let you guys be the judge. Horrible prices, rude staff and the food isn’t that good to be charging the prices they do.
