New location, same great comfort food. I have been a fan of this place since arriving in Miami in 1991. The customer service does not dissapoint and the breakfasts take me back to my beloved Jersey diners. Very glad they found a beautiful new spot to call home.

As a first-time visit, the place was beautifully designed. As a local, it was nice to finally see something in that corner of Altara come to life.
As for the food, it was okay. The Eggs Benedict with brisket was not great—it was extremely overcooked. However, the corned beef hash with eggs, grits, and bagel were great, and I would definitely reorder that.
The service, unfortunately, was not great. Maryuri was nice but not very attentive. She was mostly in the back kitchen gossiping and laughing. It was brought to her attention, but it continued. They really need to improve their service here.
I will come back to try the lunch menu.

Worst smoked salmon nova bagel I’ve ever had — especially for $20. Wish I would’ve read the reviews, I’m noticing I’m not the only one having a horrible experience.
Ordered at the counter, tipped $4, and was told to sit down and that the food would be brought to us. Instead, we had to look back at the counter and watch the employee wave a brown paper bag for us to come pick it up ourselves. Zero service.
While already disappointed, the owner then came over and asked us to move seats — despite the restaurant being completely empty — which only made the experience worse.
The bagel itself was a joke: overly thick cream cheese, a tomato, and low-quality smoked salmon. No balance, no quality, and absolutely not worth the price.
When I asked for a refund due to the poor quality, the owner refused because I had already taken one bite. He was rude and dismissive throughout the interaction.
Between the bad service, overpriced food, and unpleasant owner, I won’t be back. There are far better bagel spots that actually care about quality and customer experience.

I’m gonna say there’s not a whole lot within short distance from the university of Miami campus to eat, but Bagel Emporium is, and it’s pretty good. You can see the menu in my pics and the variety is quite decent. Obviously bagels and spreads, but also a variety of sandwiches, steak and chicken plates, wraps, breakfasts, burgers, and do I dare say… even fish??!
I can couch for the onion bagel and chive schmeer. Pastrami on rye was nothing special. Eggs and bacon plate was what you’d expect.
The hosts and servers are really friendly and quick. They treat you well. Order at the table but pay when you leave, type of place.
I’d probably hit them up again if I’m back around UM.

Been fans of this place for years and have always maintained a 5 star review. First time back since move to CG and unfortunately had a 30+ minute wait to be seated. The wait for the food was also longer than previously. The staff and service was as always… friendly, courteous and accommodating, but seemed a bit rattled at times. Also, because we had long waits, we had to pay $3.00 for parking. That can be a turn-off for a lot of people.

First time eating here, food was delicious. Real bagels! Hard to find in south Florida, the staff is super friendly and service was amazing. Will definitely come back, reminded me of a small deli by my aunts place in Brooklyn when is was a kid. Highly recommend eating here.

The eggs were savory, the French toast was delicious, and the true star of the meal was the bagel—easily one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The café con leche was exceptionally good and paired perfectly with the meal. Overall, I really enjoyed my breakfast and would definitely return.

Delicious Ruben & well done fries at a fair price. Went at 1:30 after lunch rush. Seated right away. Booth was clean comfortable and no frills. Service was quick & very friendly without being overbearing. Portion size was just right to completely satisfy my hunger at a price that will have me return as often as I’m in the area. The Ruben itself was to my liking. Bread grilled just right, lean tender corned beef sliced thin. Cheese done perfectly & enough Thousand Island to taste in each bite but not drown the sandwich. I asked for fries well done & that is how they came. Fresh, hot and crisp. Return visit 6/11/25. Just as good. ♥️

This was my go to place for years until today. David – hung up on me twice while I called to ask about a bagel flavor that wasn’t listed in the uber app. I called back thinking the line dropped- nope, his coworker said he hung up on me TWICE. HORRIBLE customer service and honestly rude. Good bye bagel emporium – it was a nice long ride. Thankfully H&H bagels just opened!!!
