The space is quite tight, which made the dining setup feel a bit cramped, and our food presentation reflected that slightly messy and not so tasty.
This place is definitely more about the vibe than the food. With people dancing on tables and having fun it can also feel awkward if you’re trying to focus on eating.
The live painter was cool
All in all, I’ll be back just for the vibes.
After lunch, we found a shaded corner of the outdoor lounge and thoroughly enjoyed more drinks, people watching, and dancing as the party back in the restaurant area raged on. Loved the proximity to the beach too. Very friendly wait staff and security!
My one comment would be to maintain/clean the women’s restrooms more frequently as the day progresses. As can be expected with increased use, the quality of the restrooms decreased throughout the day. Otherwise we had a wonderful time celebrating our friend’s birthday and even the kiddo had a blast!
We had just sat down at the table and the waiters told us we had 2h to free the table (we were a table for 13 that arrived at 12:30, I get that you want VOLUME, but people do come here to enjoy themselves) We ordered rhum and asked for a cigar cutter, which came an hour and a half after we asked for it and we had finished our rhum.
Finally, the barmaid was very rude, i went to get a bottle of water and asked if this was the right place to get one in a very polite way, she answered in the most agressive way I’ve ever been answered to in a restaurant. I’m in the hospitality business and there is absolutely no reason to answer someone like that, even the customer next to me who was being served said in an ironic way “très aimable”. We were both pretty shocked. Unfortunately, no matter how tasty the food is, no matter how great the atmosphere is, the service ruins the experience.
We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and would have liked to surprise him with a second magnum of champagne at the table (one had already been ordered), but they said none of the ones under 7000 EUROS were available (Please…) and that they wouldn’t be putting any fizzy candles for our friend’s birthday because the bottles weren’t expensive enough (for a Ruinart Magnum ).
Finally, when we got to pay, we were accused of drinking from another table’s bottle, which is absurd because we had our wine and champagne. We ended up paying for that bottle to avoid making any scenes and ruining our friend’s birthday. It is sad to see these beautiful places get greedy and value volume over quality in everything except the food. We obviously left no tip.
On an ending note, I really enjoyed the pool, sunbeds and the cleanliness!
