There are a number of restaurants that do BBQ well. But very few that are consistent. We’ve tried BAEW 10-12 times and they are CONSISTENTLY DELICIOUS!! Meats are always smoked and tender; sides consistently seasoned and fresh. Service is consistently top-notch. The only drawback I have (and the reason I took 1-star) is that cornbread is an additional charge. The dinners are pricey and while the
portion sizes may make up for the price, depending on what you get, I’ve never seen a BBQ plate or dinner where cornbread is not inclusive. We have tried the cornbread once, and as everything else on the menu, it was delicious, with a homemade taste. However, we always opt out of adding on to our dinners because the additional charge just seems a bit excessive.

Definitely wish I would’ve taken a picture of my meal. I visited on 2/13/26. I had 4 smoked wings w/ mac and cheese and baked beans. My partner ordered the smoked sausage dinner with mac & cheese and collard greens. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend everyone support this business. It was worth every bit of the drive. The portion sizes were exceptional! The customer service was great. The food tastes just like you’re eating from your grandmother’s kitchen. Full of flavor and love!

Stopped here for lunch, and so glad we did! Just a short detour from I-75, and very easy to get back on. This is a carry-out restaurant with an outdoor table. The ordering/pick-up area is freshly decorated & sparkling clean, with an easy to read wall menu. The chef and the sweet lady taking the orders were so friendly and helpful. The ribs were tender, smoky and had a nice bark. The green beans and collard greens were cooked perfectly & seasoned with meat. The collard greens stole the show for me with just the right amount of heat. Our dog Sam sat beside our outside table & was happy to get a break from hours in the car.

This was my first time visiting BAEW Food & Grill Soul Food Restaurant located in Stockbridge, GA, and I was blown away. The customer service was warm and friendly, and the restaurant itself was spotless and inviting. But the star of the show was the food — especially the slab of ribs. They were incredibly delicious, tender, and full of flavor. Truly phenomenal. I’ll definitely be back.

I really hate that I found this place! NOT!!!
OMG! The Greens!!!!! I will most likely spend the rest of my life trying to replicate their recipe. Definitely the best Greens I have ever had in my life.
The Ribs were absolutely amazing, fall off the bone, great taste, meaty and tender.
The Chicken was outstanding as well.
The Mac and Cheese is exactly how I like it. If I had to give any advice, smoke the Mac and Cheese as well. That would be a home run.

If I could give BAEW Food & Grill BAEW Food & Grill 10 stars, I absolutely would.
The food? Incredible. The service? Genuinely amazing.
Everything was fresh, hot, and made with real care. You can taste the difference when people actually care about what they’re serving, and that’s exactly what this felt like.
I’m from St. Louis, so trust me when I say I do not play about barbecue. I grew up on it. Since moving here, I’ve tried so many spots hoping to find something that hit like home… and nothing really did. Until now.
Every bite had flavor, was cooked right, and just felt like real food made by people who know what they’re doing. And the customer service matched the food. Friendly, welcoming, and just good energy all around.
They’re only open a few days a week, and honestly? I’m perfectly fine with that because the quality is clearly worth it.
I’m literally writing this review while my husband is on the way back to get me more food. That should tell you everything you need to know

Today was the first time I tried BAEW and I don’t think I’ll try them again. I got the 4 whole wing plate my wings tough and tasted old. The sides I got were just ok nothing to cheer about. If I didn’t know I had peach cobbler I wouldn’t have known what the heck it was. It looked horrible.
I have yet to find a really good soul food restaurant here in the Atlanta area.
