Food was amazing- meat so fresh!! Okay caveat, if you are coming here with half a dozen football players and you just want the bang for your buck and eat meat endlessly- this is not the place.
But for people like me who don’t benefit from AYCE anymore, and prefer quality meat and a comfortable family experience, then this is definitely the place.
Here, they cook the meat for you. That was new for me- but it was good experience. The people here work very hard, and constantly on their feet. The sides were good, and their menus are quite fair for the price and quality.
I had a great experience, and each table sits about 6 comfortably. The tables are spaced comfortably and there is often plenty of seating.
I came for lunch and so it wasn’t as busy- but I’d imagine for dinner and busy days, it can be packed and the wait can be a while.
Price is higher compared to most Socal KBBQ places…but for the price, the quality, the vibe- I can’t think of many places that can beat this restaurant.
5-star for me. Enjoy!
It was definitely more relaxing to eat with fewer people, and the food tasted fine. However, I didn’t find the staff to be very friendly or attentive. I just wish the experience had been better.
I’ve only tried their boneless short ribs and brisket. Interestingly, the fried eggs and corn are literally “cooked” in the sides of the grill. Salad dressing wasn’t too strong. Besides meat, I mostly fed myself with japchae and rice paper.
Would come back to treat myself!
A huge thank you to the manager, Danielle, for stepping in so professionally. She handled the situation with grace and made sure we were comfortable, transforming what could have been a negative experience into a positive one.
Once we were seated, Jeff did a fantastic job with the meal. It’s rare to find someone who handles both the service and the cooking so skillfully—the food was delicious and his service was top-notch.
It is great to see a team that truly cares about customer satisfaction. Thank you, Danielle and Jeff, for a great night! We will definitely be back.
Parking was kind of hard to find empty spot.
The place has very nice atmosphere to it.
The service was very attentive and friendly.
They will do the cooking for you. They will even change the griddle too according to the type of meat you’re having.
The kimchi soup was very good, the right amount of spices.
My favorite was the marinated short ribs, very soft and buttery and the sesame oil gave it that sesame flavor to it was awesome.
Little bit pricey but over all is good.
He doesn’t talk unless we asked..
When we asked him to refill sidedishes, he took the plates and never remembered what to refill.
He managed to use the least effort in cooking for each table and burnt some of our meat.
When he done cooking, he just ran to other table without telling us if the meat is ready to eat…
The dinner costed hundred fifty something, and we feel the experience doesn’t worth it.
It was pretty empty around 4:30 pm on a Saturday. I was happy that we did not need to wait long, but now I kinda know why we did not have to wait long.
Ok. Long story short, we had the Hodong’s favorite combo, and obviously it was not our favorite. The portions were way smaller than before, and I don’t know if it was the meat quality issue or the services. Most of our meat was overly cooked, even though we told our server that we would prefer our meat to be medium rare, and it was like medium well to well done. Not to mention, we felt extremely rushed to finish the entire meal (even we told them to slow down the cooking) I could not help but wondering if it was the same owner as before, the decor changed a bit, and everything was not as great as we remember. Aw well, there are definitely better options in the area, I could easily name a few.
Overall, not a great experience. Would not recommend and return!
