My family and I have been coming to Badger Cafe for over 20+ years. We’ve always experienced good service when we go. Except for last night. Our server/waitress was named Danielle. She took about 5-15 minutes to take our order, no big deal. We waited an hour and half for our food. When it was time to pay, I asked for a to go box for my left over food. I paid, sat back down and the box was given to someone in my party. She came storming back slamming the receipt on the table demanding a tip, shaking her head and talking smack about all of us. “10% is a REQUIREMENT if you cannot pay it don’t eat out. I don’t forget faces. When you come back don’t expect good service” Her bad table side manner from when we entered, ordered, our hour and half wait, up until we paid was horrible. When I gave the receipt back, she went to take our FOOD that we were supposed to box up and THREW IT AWAY. Walking around ignoring us and talking smack while going to the other costumers is childish behavior. Thankfully the cook, told us not to worry about it and remade our food. She kept telling him to take his time so we would leave after being impatient. We stayed, he cooked the food, added ranch cups, and veggies. He was tipped. She still proceeded to throw it where we were seated. When working in the food industry, demanding a tip and expecting a tip after slamming a receipt on the table and talking smack about the entire party should embarrass you. Throwing away food in this economy when families can’t afford to eat or buy basic necessities because you have bad table side manner, and want your $3 tip is distasteful. The way you handle yourself is a reflection of the company, and Danielle made your company look like a joke.

This little diner (added onto the Packers bar next door in the 90’s) is just perfect! Exactly the kind of service and taste you would expect from a hole-in-the-wall spot on the outskirts of any big city. A small spot with the open-air griddle right there so you can see your food being made freshly.
We tried the burger, onion rings, wings, banger sandwich, and apple pie. Prices were great and so was the food. I think the August wing flavor was called Uni and we LOVED it!
Be sure and end your meal with a slice of apple pie, the ONLY dessert choice, for just $3.50.
Can’t wait to try the breakfast sometime!

The food was okay. When I came in no one was in sight. I looked around the dining area at the cool memorabilia and when I returned to the counter they made me feel as if I was sneaking around. After ordering my food I asked if I could sit in the cooler part of the restaurant and was told no but you can go into the bar. When I entered the bar it was smoke filled so returned to the original dining area. Just an uncomfortable situation. The food was okay. I ate most of it but I probably will not return. I had an appetizer pictured and a very simple Philly Steak. They just didn’t snap for me. Just my opinion.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 – we ordered the daily special of Pot Roast and a Farmer’s Breakfast with over easy eggs and chicken fried steak. The pot roast was tender but the sauce was a bit gloopy and thick. The mashed potatoes were good but the green beans flavorless and soggy. We’re not quite sure what the soup of the day was but we know it wasn’t good. The Farmer’s Breakfast was good but the steak was a bit over and dry. The toast was EXTREMELY buttered which was great for one of us.
Ambience: 4/5 – attached to a Rum Runner gaming place, we were a bit hesitant to walk into the little shop. However, it was quite cozy inside but the tables are packed together! The location does seem a bit more run down though.
Service: 5/5 – friendly and attentive and made some recommendations on the menu.
Value for price: 4/5 – cheap and quick eat for any hour of the day!

Classic cafe. Don’t shy away because it’s in a strip mall attached to a bar. This little place is a gem for simple classic food that you will love to eat. Very small seating area but everything we ate was excellent. Service was amazing! Our waitress was was everything you want in a small friendly diner. We were searching for a place to eat on the way out of town and 100 percent will be back here again.

There were a lot of great reviews about the wings, even on Reddit, where someone from Buffalo, NY raved about them. We ordered 24 to go, half medium, half spicy garlic. Sadly they were all just medium when we opened the boxes. The wait was long from a Tuesday night. Told us it was going to take 20 min and it took 40 min. Plus the wings were overdone and kinda dry. Overall, they were fine. Nothing to rave over tho.

The food and the place overall is great. My only problem is with the waitress daniele. She pretty much forces people to leave a tip. My brother and i were planning on leaving a cash tip, but she grabbed my receipt and told me “fill this out man, dont be shitty”. After that, i felt like not leaving a tip at all. Her greedy-ness would make anyone annoyed, and her service wasn’t even the best. No napkins or utensils. I like the place and i would want to go back, but her presence prevents me from going back.
