The BBQ was amazing. I had the pulled chicken sandwich and it was juicy and flavorful with just the right amount of sauce. The coleslaw was pretty good. The cornbread was pretty much the same as most BBQ places. My husband had ribs, pork and brisket with fried okra and raved about it all. Good BBQ, good price. This place is absolutely no frills. It’s a small little shack, cement floors and it fills up fast. It wouldn’t hurt for the owners to run a swiffer under the chairs. There were some serious cobwebs.
Go mid-afternoon if you want to avoid the rush.

The ribs here are awsome you must try them. We also loved the pulled chicken. The sides were great also I’d highly recommend this place for some great bbq and you can sit outside also. Its a family owned business and black owned also. Sime of the best places outsode of Rochester to grab a big plate of bbq.

Tonight was our First time ordering take out from here. Restaurant is neat and clean with an honest family vibe. Staff is friendly. Honest to God best brisket I’ve ever eaten. Pulled chicken was out of this world. Collard greens were excellent, the baked beans need a little something more. Overall a great experience, we will be back soon

Bad To The Bone BBQ is some of the best barbecue in Upstate NY! I use them for catering frequently, and my customers often request them in advance. The food is always delicious, and the owner is amazing—ensuring everything goes smoothly. Reliable, flavorful, and a crowd favorite!

I haven’t been here in a while, it could be a while before I do again too. The counter girl was really nice, I love the decor … and the license plates from every state alphabetically around the room is a cool touch! But the food still has a ways to go. The ribs were tough, it was almost like work trying to chew them down, I’ve never had tough ribs like this before! They didn’t taste bad, not great but certainly not bad, pretty nice smokey flavor, they were just tough to eat. The Cajun corn has improved a bit, could still use more butter and spice but not bad. The bbq beans really let me down though, I’m pretty sure they came out of a can, I couldn’t even finish them. They ain’t any Grandma Browns, that’s for sure! Oh, the corn bread … no to that too. I hate to say all this, I’d really like to see them do well, but they still have a ways to go. On another note, it was all well enough under $20 so their prices were fair enough. They at least have to do something about those beans!!

All in all, everything was good. Had chicken tenders with two sides. I got a good amount of food. The only thing was collard greens were ok. A little more seasoning. Also, Mac n cheese was a store box. Not homemade! Business on outside looks funky. Inside looks really nice. Another thing is there only open Friday and Saturday. I will be back to try other dishes. Really nice staff and food was hot.

We ordered 3 meats and 3 sides for a large family gathering. It was the best bbq I’ve had in a very long time. The half trays were abundant with more than enough food. All the meats were tender and juicy, the cucumber salad and coleslaw fresh and crisp. The baked beans were superb with just a hint of smoke and heat, by far the best I’ve had. I would highly recommend them for an easy, affordable gathering.

Wonderful people to do business with. The food was great, they did exactly as they said, and kept us updated on arrival time. We could not have been more pleased. Brian was very pleasant.

I was so excited to see someone mention on fb awhile back that Bad to the Bone is doing dinner again on Friday and Saturday nights. We have fewer and fewer choices out here all the time and I was getting as tired of those remaining as I am of cooking by Friday night. I just finished the brisket dinner with cole slaw and potato salad and all were excellent with good sized portions. The brisket was moist not dried out like it is many places. My husband had the pulled pork platter and it was great as well. Even the corn muffins were good. I am really picky about my food not being dry and Bad to the Bone did not disappoint. Can’t wait for next weekend to have ribs. They even called me back to double check on something to be sure my order was correct, and my order was ready exactly when they said it would be. So glad they are back, hope they are here to stay awhile!

Not really a fan. Service and price were OK but the food was not up there with the better BBQ place. Ribs were very fatty and I could see grill marks but no bark to speak of. Sides were OK but the cornbread was a little muffin that had a pre-manufactured taste and consistency. Atmosphere was nothing special. No 6-pack of BBQ sauce that you often see.
