Bad Seed was always our favorite HV cidery. We fell in love with their cider and beautiful orchard when we used to live down the road. When we got engaged we immediately reached out to inquire about having our wedding there, fully expecting that it would be out of our budget. Instead, it was one of the most affordable options in the area so we immediately booked it! We are so so grateful for Devin and the incredible staff at Bad Seed, who went out of their way to make sure us and our guests had the best time. Everyone commented on how great the cider was, how beautiful the ceremony and reception space was, and how kind the bartenders were. It was the best day, and will forever be our favorite place to return to every time we visit family in the area. If you’re getting married in the Hudson Valley, look no further than Bad Seed, it has it all!

Best cider in the area! Bad Seed ciders are crisp and dry and lack that artificial heavy sweetness that so many others have. They change up their menu often so there’s always something new and exciting, but they rotate in fan favorites regularly so they’re never gone for too long! The staff are always so nice to talk to and their service is as good as the cider. They also host fun events throughout the year – I went to their own SantaCon tonight and they were serving a warm cider cocktail that I could happily drink every day for the rest of my life. It was divine. Great cider, great location, and great staff!

Nice little place tucked a ways back from a main road. Surrounded by apple trees. Plenty of free parking in a lot.
Service was great! The gents serving up the food and ciders were pretty cool katz. Indoor (AC) and outdoor seating available. Cornhole and a slide for kids available. Looked like a small stage for events, too. Variety of tables and chairs. A “mobile” kitchen is outside the door, serving pizzas n other pub grub. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was that much of the yard is asphalt, and was told (and experienced) online menu did not match current menu (no Ginger Cider right now, for example, yet it is on online menu)

We were there with our dogs yesterday. What a great place. Strange very few people were there. Highly recommend it. Pumpkin cider is the best.

This place is super dog friendly! Yes, they have amazing ciders (and beers) with plenty of seating both inside and out, the food truck outside offers flavorful food, and the bartender is very knowledgeable and visibly passionate about his job, but the highlight for me was him going out of his way to rinse a bowl for my dog! I enjoyed the cider flight and rosemary fries outside with a beautiful view of their apple orchard, while our pup enjoyed clean water out of Bad Seed’s labeled water bowl.

Bad Seed puts Angry Orchard to shame! I first tried a sample of their cider at a beer store and was so pleasantly surprised that we decided to stop there on the same day as an Angry Orchard trip. Split a large flight with my husband and all were fantastic ciders, and on the dry side thankfully. Nothing cloying and even the fruity ones were really well balanced. The taproom has a chill, open, welcoming-but-cozy atmosphere, complete with an arcade and live music outside. Their small food menu was appealing and smelled great, and wish we’d ordered some. Will absolutely be back.

This place is gorgeous! I was here for a wedding. If you’re looking for a nice wedding venue with gorgeous views, this is the place! There was a very pretty apple orchard. Their outdoor eating area was very clean and spacious. Their bathrooms were clean! The staff was great and attentive. My husband and I don’t drink alcohol so we ordered non-alcoholic apple cider – very good! I really enjoyed being here.

9.23.22 Devin and his staff went above and beyond to make our wedding day the most magical and beautiful day of our lives and kept us relaxed and stress-free. Beyond having an incredible selection of unique favorable cider varieties and high-quality pizzas, they were the best venue for a wedding we could have asked for. The atmosphere and energy were on par with our vision, and the venue is the perfect size for a full outdoor or indoor/outdoor wedding. We loved having the fire pits, pinball machines, and cornhole. The way the cidergarten and cidery inside is laid out is welcoming for guests. We especially loved the natural seasonal floral/plant arrangements and decor they have to decorate the cidergarten. When we returned the next day, the staff had cleaned up all of our items to be picked up neatly, and we enjoyed some pizza and cider. Lastly, Devin and his team worked so well with our outside vendors; they all ebbed and flowed like they had been working together for years. I honestly can’t say enough amazing things about this place; it was perfect in every way, and anytime there was a moment of confusion or question, Devin and his staff were right there, making everything great again! The communication and the planning process was also phenomenal, and he worked with us so well, especially with being out of state and planning to come up after booking. Getting married under the beautiful tree on the edge of the orchard in the Gunks was always my dream. We can’t wait to visit again for our first anniversary since we now live in Maryland (The Hudson Valley is my home of 29 years) and for every year after with our two dogs.
