Tried some of the limited specials items: The pretzel appetizer and the Trick or Treat milkshake.
The pretzel appetizer is a great sharable item. It’s a large amount so I recommend sharing it with at least 3 people.
The Trick or Treat milkshake is a nice treat for the time of year! Would get it again.
For meals we always like to get the make your own burgers. This time I tried the pulled pork, and it did not disappoint. I definitely recommend making a custom burger it’s quite unique over other restaurants in the area.
I ordered the Bad Ass Burger because fried bacon in buttermilk batter sounded like the kind of beautiful chaos I was into. Spoiler alert: it was just chaos. The batter was still raw in the middle, like it gave up halfway through cooking. The whole thing turned into a soggy, drippy mess that tasted more like regret than rebellion. Flavor? Not much. Just confusion and napkins.
Service was okay, polite but nothing to write home about. In theory, this place should be a hit. In reality, it’s like the burger version of a movie trailer that’s way better than the actual movie.
Ambience- Your typical burger spot. Pretty small inside/downstairs. We did not go upstairs.
Arrival- The hostesses seemed shy and timid. She may have been new. But for the 5 of us it was about a 15-20 minute wait. We sat at the bar while we waited for our table.
Table- The booth we sat in had an odd smell. Nothing crazy, but odd. The menus were dirty. I personally find it unsanitary and gross.
Service- Our server was Tink. She was very friendly and attentive. I didn’t like that our appetizers were brought out at the same time as our food. Well, the food for two of us came out and the manager said she will wait until we had some of our appetizers before bringing out the others. I get why she thought that was a good idea, but it wasn’t. I told Tink to just go ahead and bringing out the rest.
Food- I had the Classic Smash burger, others at my table had the Bacon Cheeseburger, Mushroom Burger and two Philly’s. All were very good!
I will say, I wish they served drinks in glasses. The oversized, plastic coca-cola cups always look over used. But this is my own personal preference.
But it is a cool spot, food was good. We will return.
