Bad Biscuit is full of little tidbits of our life and what we love in life. It’s all over the walls, in the decor and on the menu. Funky and fun is a common description of our place and thats the only way I want to be! I’ve lived on the island for 46 years and have been the chef of our other restaurant, A Lowcountry Backyard Restaurant for the last 10 years. Why Bad Biscuit? Because I LOVE them, all day breakfast options and why not? And our biscuits are Bad To The Bone! We are here every day, serving fresh baked biscuits because any type of creamy sauce, crispy bacon, marinated shrimp or just some moonshine jelly is even better on a biscuit. This restaurant is all about what we love. Be a little Bad, a little rebellious, have some fun!

Biscuits & brunch bowls, plus other Southern plates, served in a laid-back nook with eclectic decor.

Service and Atmosphere were great! Got the Sausage Gravy Biscuits and Scrambled eggs. Loved the way eggs were done and of Course the Biscuit was good. Sausage Gravy a little different wished the sausage was better or more Sage in the gravy seemed it was missing. Grits were good. Coffee with the coffee bar was good as well. Different syrups. Price-point very high. 1 Biscuit was big however sausage gravy and a scrambled egg $13. 3 of us with drinks coffee and hot chocolate was over $60 bucks.

The Southern Benedict is PLATE-LICKINGLY GOOD! Literally left zero crumbs. The Southern Chick Bowl was also incredibly tasty. They’ve got cold brew, mimosas, and the guy that took care of us at the register is a riot! Had the whole line laughing. It’s a great place with a great vibe and even better food. If there’s a line out the door, get in line!!

Not a bad place. My southern style eggs benedict was delicious, but all they have is regular coffee, no cappuccinos or lattes. What I couldn’t stand was the loud music that evidently the young lady who works there prefers. Music in an establishment should be relaxing and tailored to your clientele, which is mostly baby boomers around here, so I would say classic rock.

What an amazing consistent experience! Looks heavy but it’s really not. Portions are not small but not obnoxiously huge….just perfect! The staff led by Franklin at the front makes this place come alive with funny comments but great service and very reasonable prices!

Anything but bad biscuits! The portions here are huge, but the flavor is just as impressive. We ordered takeout, but I found myself wishing we had stayed to enjoy a Bloody Mary with those biscuits on the patio. I tried the hot chicken biscuit and loved the sauce—not overly spicy, but packed with flavor. Definitely a spot worth visiting!

The location and ambience of Bad Biscuit was great. It is not huge inside but there is plenty of covered outdoor seating. We had a large group so we ate outside. The counter service was fabulous, the staff being friendly and funny on top of it.
The food, however, was lacking. I got the Fries Green Tomato Biscuit and while it looks impressive, it lacked flavor. Not sure how that is possible since it had the fried green tomato, pimiento cheese, egg, and bacon gravy. The biscuits were ok but I didn’t love the texture.
The cinnamon roll special that my daughter ordered was pretty good, even though I still didn’t love the biscuit texture.
I’d try it again and maybe something else would be tastier.

The Savage Skillet is out of this world good but you’d better be hungry! The largest homemade biscuit I’ve ever had with an egg, bacon, sausage and great hash browns topped off with some really amazing strawberry jam.

What a fabulous place! The biscuits are divine and loved the variety of gravy’s that came with the gravy train! There was seating indoors and outdoors. The eclectic decor inside matched the menu and service! One of our favorite stops in Hilton Head!

My wife and I recently visited Bad Biscuit on a hot summer afternoon. The restaurant was moderately busy, but there were plenty of tables available. Seating is self-service after ordering from the counter at the back of the room. The menu offers a good variety of biscuit-centric items, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

For our first visit, we kept it classic. My wife ordered the Rooster Biscuits N Gravy (biscuit, sausage gravy, and egg), while I opted for the Gravy Train (biscuit with samples of their four gravies: pimento cheese, mushroom, bacon, and sage & sausage). We both agreed the sage & sausage gravy was our favorite, though mushroom or cheese lovers might enjoy the other options.

The food was excellent. The biscuits were tall, flaky, and had the perfect Southern biscuit taste. The sage & sausage gravy complemented the biscuit perfectly. I can easily imagine this being a great spot for coffee and biscuits and gravy in the morning. Bad Biscuit might just have the best biscuits on the island.

The restaurant is comfortable and unpretentious, with an eclectic and charming decor. Pictures cover one wall, a flying angel hangs from the ceiling, an electric guitar is displayed in a plexiglass case, and a PacMan game sits in the corner. This diverse collection of decor surprisingly works well together. The person who took our order and served us was very friendly, and the customer-only bathroom was clean.

While I chose a basic order for my first visit, I was very pleased with the experience at Bad Biscuit. If you’re a fan of biscuits and biscuit-related dishes, I highly recommend giving it a try!

Amazing food! I love their biscuit bites! They’re tossed in cinnamon and come with cream cheese and caramel sauce. Delicious! Nice blend of flavors. Their Shrimp and Grits is pretty good as well. Great consistency of the grits. It was a little too much mushrooms for me though. I felt like too much mushrooms took away the flavor from the overall dish, versus just complimenting the dish.i ended up taking out a lot of the mushrooms, it was a take out order and my bowl wasn’t that big, so it was a bit overwhelming. I never ate in, only did carry outs with coworkers so I can’t speak on the restaurant. Otherwise, everything was always exactly as ordered. Food always good. Im looking forward to trying more on their menu.
