This was an interesting spot. We ordered 60 count of Spanish bread and half a dozen count of the selected donuts on display. A lot of donuts were not stocked, but that’s okay, the options seemed quite good. Would definitely return if ever in the area.

We visited Bad Bakers on a Thursday morning at 8 am. There is plenty of parking and no one in line, so no issues with service, parking or atmosphere. This was my first time in more than a year to visit this location as we were wanting Senorita bread. My prior experience with it was delicious. However, with this visit, the bread was below expectations. The length was very short, the bread was crusty and not soft and fluffy, and there was no glaze drizzled over it, the way it should be. The bread tasted overcooked and stale. We ordered a few other items such as the maple glaze donut, jalapeño bread, and hot dog bread. They looked yummy from the surface but the cream cheese bread was stuffed with unmelted cream cheese and was thick and pasty. The hot dog bread was decent. But the maple donut was the worst donut we’ve ever had. The glaze was .5 inch thick with artificial sugar/maple…we took one bite and threw it away. The quality of food has gone down from what I used to remember this place as. Considering how expensive and subpar the quality of their items are after this visit, we will stick with traditional donut places. Never again.

What a gem of a donut shop! Popped in for star bread and decided to get a few donuts. The fresh star bread was absolutely incredible. I ate far too many in one sitting and have no regrets. Donuts are delicious as well but the star bread was the real MVP. Great customer service. The young woman helping us was really friendly and helpful. Definitely will be back!

5 stars for the bread. Service could’ve been friendlier for my first time going there, came all the way from Stockton. But I was just there for the bread. 5 stars either way just off the bread alone. Also tried the jalapeño and cheese bread (forgot the exact name), and it was delicious. Brought some staxx for my friends and they absolutely loved it!

Good tasting donuts but not so good as that i would go back… $38 a dozen?!?! I think they’re trying to be a higher priced “niche” fancy place. One suggestion… Fix the drink machine in the front… It was very noisy… It was hard to ask questions to the front counter person.

My wife placed an order of bread for pick up at about noon to be picked up at 3:15. She was sent a text that the order was ready and when I showed up to pick it up the guy said we don’t have any and when I showed him the text he said oh well that was his answer. This was the worst service I have ever had in any buddy in the Service industry. I will never shop here again and I will make sure nobody that I know it does too. I own a small business in Elgrove and I know how hard it is, but obviously these guys know nothing about doing business. Very disappointed.
