I had a really good time here. We threw axes for a couple hours, had some pizza, and some beer. Service was great, lanes were in great condition, and it wasn’t too busy on a Friday night to be a walk on. Would definitely go again.

Great atmosphere and a ton of fun! Rachel was awesome and very attentive despite being the only one working at the time we came. I didn’t particularly like this and thus why I’m not giving a full five stars. I felt like she could’ve had assistance instead of having to manage four parties and still tend to her additional responsibilities. Moreover, she handled it like a pro and made our experience great.

I wish it was better but it was underwhelming to put it nicely. I’ve been to a few other axe throwing places in different states so have a general idea of what to expect. From the get go, getting checked-in took way too long. There was only 1 person working the register and she was dealing with unhappy customers who held up the process for 10 minutes or so. After getting checked in there were not any lanes open lanes so we were placed in lanes with really beat up target boards the axes would barely stick into one. When another one opened up we moved and it was better. The host didn’t give us any ideas for games or anything so we just kind of made up our own to make the most use of time. The drink menu looked decent but they only had like 3 different things on hand in the fridge which was almost empty. I definitely wouldn’t go back.

Had an amazing time! Definitely better than my first axe-throwing experience in Baltimore. Our trainer, the axe throwing pro at Bad Axe was great, he was fun, engaging, and made sure we stayed safe while turning a bunch of stiff lobbyists into competitive pros (LOL). And that whiskey lemonade? Absolutely the best!

It was opening night at this establishment. They were still a work in progress with no alcohol or food (first week of Oct 23). They did have regular soft drinks and water.
The staff was super helpful for us first-timers (thanks Aleesha). They reviewed the rules, showed us how to throw, and taught us some games. They even kept score for us and were our hype person for a while. They came back also to encourage us and check on us. This was exciting and fun, and we will be back and maybe a future work team building time event.
Come and check them out you will have fun.
The only reason for the 4 instead of a 5 is because they had no food yet. That will change soon as I saw the kitchen area but it wasn’t set up yet. I am still going back without a kitchen.

We had a team building event that checked all the marks for the team- exercise, skill, competition and lighthearted fun! Mike was superb as a teacher on technique, safety and fun! He leaned into our competitive spirit! Thank you – recommend!

Tried Bad Axe Throwing in Alexandria for the first time, and it was a great experience! The staff was super friendly and gave clear instructions, making it easy for beginners like us to get the hang of it. They had a fun, laid-back atmosphere but still took safety seriously. The space was well-organized.

Surprisingly, axe throwing is both challenging and satisfying! We definitely had a few misses at first, but once we got the technique down, it was addicting. Great spot for a fun!
