New favorite taco spot!
I discovered this gem after church service on Sunday, and I’m so glad I did! I ordered the chilaquiles with green salsa, and WOW absolutely delicious. The flavors were fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. You can tell everything is made with care. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was casual and welcoming, and I can’t wait to go back to try more of the menu. In total we had 9 tacos 1 burrito nachos 1 fountain drink 1 agua fresca and a jarritos paid 75$ not worth it the meat was not what I expected for that price and to top it off they were skimpy with the meat would never go back there again. This is more like a Caucasian type place to eat at. Meat had no seasoning bland and we had asked for sour cream on the side ended up putting it on the nachos.

This place is amazing. Been eating here for years and years, ever since they were a little pop up before they had an actual store front. Everything on the menu is to die for. But my favorite is the poc-chuc burrito. Be sure to get some extra avacado salsa on the side. I don’t live in Thousand Oaks anymore, but every time I’m passing through I make sure to stop by to get my fix. Highly recommend!

Love their street tacos, chorizo and papas is my fave. My kids love the carne asada and it’s family friendly so we enjoy sitting at the long tables on the porch. More faves are their homemade aquas frescas, try jamaica or

TLDR: They don’t honor credit they give you on your account.
I ordered a torta cabeza a while back through door dash and the meat was uneatable. I couldn’t break down the meat when chewing and it was rubbery. Called bad ass tacos and they said I can either call door dash for a refund, or they can give me credit for the food. I decided on the credit because I order there often and today placed an order to use my credit. They found my info in their system and saw I had a credit. When I get there to pay, the owner doesn’t want to honor it and tells me I have to call door dash for the refund (she was on the phone with them). I said it’s not my fault their employee/manager told me I would have credit and she responds with “it’s not our fault either.” She then tries to give me something as a discount but I declined it because she made it seem like a petty thing when I was already promised a credit. I can understand if that’s not their policy to provide credit when an item was ordered through door dash, but the onus is on the owner to see that it was a mistake on the employee/manager part for providing the credit in the first place.

Had their steak burrito. Great flavoring if the meat and additional items. Just wish they did not stuff it so much with rice and beans. Well, I forgot to ask. Inside seating is tight, but had plenty of outdoor patio seating. Had issues with payment that day and only took cash.

I had six tacos but wish I only ordered four because they were all good and now I’m super full. I tried the Al pastor, carne asada, short rib, lengua, Lechon and cabeza. All were delicious and the flavors were on point. My favorite was the lechon & lengua out of the six.
The indoor decor is cool and the outdoor seating is great. The horchata washed it all down and I’ll come back in the future for the fish taco.

Had the ceviche and it was great along with a Horchata. Ceviche had the right amount of sourness and flavor. The tostada pieces were super crispy too.
