Wow! I just found the cure to the January blues: HOT EMPANADAS!! The pastry dough was fluffy and savory, and the fillings were delicious. I had the spinach feta mushroom empanada and the pulled pork and I’m already sad they’re gone.

I can’t wait to go back and get those angain and try a couple new flavors. I noticed they were completely sold out out of the ground beef empanadas so I have a feeling that one’s gonna be my next taste test.

I also picked up two of their huge cinnamon rolls and are excited to wake up tomorrow morning and enjoy those with some hot coffee. They also have a nice variety of sandwiches and a cozy little space to enjoy them in. Great spot for tasty eats and treats in downtown westmont!

Service and atmosphere are nice. Almost missed it driving by since the sign is small and kind of inside. Glad I circled back. Warmed coxinhas were tasty and had a nice crispy outside with a soft and flavorful filling. Croissant was warm and delightfully soft. Oatmilk latte was alright. Looking forward to trying more!

The coffee was delicious! Got a caramel latte, it tasted so rich!

We also got the Coixnha (chicken croquette) and empanadas de chorizo egg and cheese!

All soooooo good! Especially the coixnha!!!

This was my first visit after being highly recommended by my mother, who works at Holy Trinity, and the food exceeded my expectations. It was my first time trying an empanada, and it was outstanding—the pork was flavorful, juicy, and melted in my mouth. I also ordered the brisket grilled cheese, which had an excellent cheese pull and incredibly tender, flavorful meat. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting for the first time. Compliments to whoever was working in the kitchen.

My bestie suggested for us to visit Bacuri Bakery since she lives 5 minutes away and it was probably one of the best decisions we’ve made on a restaurant in a long time. I had one of the best experience. From the adorable location of the Bakery, to the wonderful service and lets not forget the super delicious food!

Inside of the place consist of about 4 tables and some high tops. It’s in a cute little house with a rustic feel of wood that I love. A IG worthy name wall and super clean! Which is very important to me.

The gentleman behind the counter was soooo nice, friendly, knowledgeable and I wonder if he’s the owner but I am all about supporting local small businesses. I would come back for the service alone!

I don’t eat meat so I ordered the Portobello, red pepper and havarti cheese sandwich. My bestie ordered the ham and cheese and both was amazing!!! Mine wasn’t overly salty, cheese was gooey, mushrooms and peppers was deliciously seasoned and best of all, the sandwich was crispy to the bite!

Free parking right outside of the restaurant and free water for your convenience. I already have a coffee but we both took some pulled pork, chicken and spinach empanadas to go and everything was amazing! 10/10 on everything! Can’t wait to bring my family to try the sweets and other stuff like acai bowl, cookies, cake jar and much much more!!! Please stop in and try it for yourself! You will fall in love! I know I did! Thank you Bacuri Bakery! I will be back!

Had a delivery order from Bacuri this morning and the food was awful. I ordered two empanadas (beef&chicken), 1carrot cake, and 1 Pastel. The empanadas tasted old and extremely dry, the pastel literally had a tablespoon of meat inside and the carrot cake was dry and old. First and last time ordering from this place.

Delicious food! We came a little later in the day but there were still plenty of empanadas. Our favorite was the pork bbq. The real star to me was the chicken croquettes! Excellent service as well

12/18/24 update: I came in again to try more items. I tried 3 more empanadas (ground beef, ham, egg, and cheese, and last sausage, egg, and cheese), coxinha, and brigadeiro. Empanadas were all fantastic. Coxinhas were fried but the insides were creamy chicken flavor. Must try. The brigadeiro was a fudge ball. Soft texture with rich chocolate taste. It is sweet so I recommend eating one at a time not all at once.

So, I actually came here when the place used to be the Sweet and Savory Spot. When I looked up the address for the Bacuri Bakery, I was a little shocked they were in the same spot. Anyways, I decided to come here for breakfast. Ample amount of parking. When you walk inside, you order at the counter and then pick up your food when it’s ready. Seating wise, it’s sufficient because most people just grab their food and go. I ordered bauru sandwich, 3 empanadas (3 for $12), Guarana drink, and pao de queijo (5 for $4.50). Prices were reasonable. Service was very friendly.

-bauru sandwich 5 – it has ham, havarti cheese, tomato, and oregano. Great sandwich for breakfast but can also be for lunch. It’s filling and delicious.
-empanadas 5 – all of the empanadas are generous sizes
Guava and cheese 5 – the guava taste is very prominent. It’s not sweet but it is slightly tart with the cheese.
Spinach, mushroom, and feta 5 – tons of spinach and feta. It’s a good way to balance out your diet since you’ll get your greens.
Chorizo, egg, and cheese 5 – this is a great empanada to start off the day. Loaded with fillings.
-pao de queijo 5 – these are just like the ones you find at places like Fogo de Chao and other Brazilian steakhouses. These are house made and are very cheesy.

If there’s a bakery that I love, it’s Bacury Bakery. The service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is super cozy. The savory snacks are simply PERFECT, especially the coxinha de costela, which is my favorite. And the pink brigadeiro? It’s my favorite sweet! I can’t pass by without taking one. I wouldn’t trade this bakery for anything, it’s definitely my favorite bakery in the world!
