What a little hidden gem. Great customer service very friendly and attentive staff. Loved my veggie omelet and hash browns. So delicious. My husband enjoyed his pumpkin pie the most. Good coffee and tea. Absolutely fantastic all across the board. Next time we are out this way, we will stop again.

Bacon Creek Cafe is a few minutes from I-65. This restaurant is a rare gem. I am happy I did not stop at another exit for fast food. This place has country cooking, tremendous prices, great food and large portions. I food came out shortly after we ordered. Our waitress was attentive. I had chicken and dumplings, green beans, pickled beats and cornbread for $9.25. I also enjoyed their unsweetened tea. The fish looked great from afar as well.

First off, if you are allergic to smoke from people smoking, pass this place by as they allow smoking in their restaurant, even though smoking is on one side of the restaurant, you can still smell it in the nonsmoking area. I hate restaurants that allow smoking, this is why I only gave 3 stars. As for the food, it was amazing. Their fried pickle chips, not battered in corn mill seasoning, taste like lay potato chips that are crushed up. You just have to try it to see what you think. It’s different but good!
I got a double cheeseburger with crinkle-cut fries. My dad had a country-fried steak, but he said the white gravy was not good. He said he should have gotten it without gravy. The server was nice.
My advice for the owner would be either not allow smoking as more ppl would come because tons of people are allergic to smoke, they don’t like the smell, or barrier your smoking side off, put up a wall from the floor to the ceiling with a door to block out the smoke. As for right now, the restaurant needs some smoke filter machines where it filters the smoke and put out clean air.

Ordered a bowl of soup (veggie soup and cream of potato) with grilled cheese and three sides (grits, pickled beets, and green beans). Also enjoy a couple slices of chocolate pie and apple pie. Everything was tasty; staff went above and beyond to take care of us

Our first visit, we had heard good comments about food. This is a simple restaurant, no frills, basic dining area, clean place and friendly staff.
Plus, breakfast is served all day.
I had the Western Omlet with biscuit and gravy. Janet had a Cod Fish Sandwich, large crinkle cut fries and corn nuggets as an appetizer.
Service was fast, food was hot, and great taste. We were very happy and will be back!
NOTE: smoking is allowed inside restaurants and this is a small room. It was not a problem when we were there, but I have friends who have been during busy times. Friends say the smoke can be bad, so keep that in mind before you order.

First time here and will be back! Great food at a GREAT price. Felt like family! First time in and felt very welcomed in there. You can tell this is the locals home. Great service, fast, fresh and home cooked meal! Very relaxed atmosphere. All are welcomed! Don’t judge the pics. Took a bite and realized how good it was. It looked much better before I dove into it.

Truly a real backcountry Diner/ restaurant. Filled with a lot of old locals which was fine except there were no smoking laws observed. I didn’t have a problem with it but I’m sure others would. We went for breakfast . Price was right food was excellent and hot and service was pleasant but a little slow because there was only one server. Atmosphere was nice also especially if you like to step back into the 60s . Would go back if we were in the area!
