The door staff was friendly. There was about a 30 minute wait. We say at the counter because the wait for a table was even longer. Heather was out waitress and she was so charming and friendly. She was helpful with suggestions for us first timers.

We had the Grilled Cheese Benedict, Biscuits & Gravy and two coffees. The benedict was superb. Perfectly poached eggs on a grilled cheese sandwich covered with delicious hollandaise sauce. The biscuits and gravy were good, but not great. The biscuits were awesome, but bacon gravy was too loose for my liking though.

At the end we decided to add a cinnamon roll. All I can say is . It was so damn delicious. Get one or ten!

Approaching the restaurant for the first time I noticed a nice size parking lot to one side and a school across the street. We pulled up at roughly 12:30 and there were a number of people waiting outside. We waited out front in front of a sign that said to wait here for the hostess. Eventually one came out and set us on the queue which was about a 45 minute wait. When we got inside the atmosphere is very modern hipster diner. It was very busy so there was a lot of noise from conversation but it wasn’t enough to dissuade our own conversations. We were sat at the end of the counter and were able to enjoy the holiday decorations and the overall look of the interior. The server took our order and was very polite and pleasant to converse with. We ordered the “Biscuits Bacon and Gravy”, the “Grilled Cheese Benedict”, and the “Banana Cream Waffle” which honestly came out faster than I expected considering how busy they were. The star of the meal was definitely the waffles but everything was good. The food is good, the service was phenomenal, and the overall vibe was good too. There was table, booth, and counter seating available. Overall, I will be coming here again.

Well well well. So i was excited to see the cinnamon roll on the menu.

I ended up going with the kitchen sink sizzling platter with a side of bacon gravy. And of course the cinnamon roll.

The roll came first and was warm. It wasnt a traditional raised dough but more a Danish pastry style dough with a little eggy flavor. It had a caramelized sugar on the bottom that was crunchy and delicious. It wasnt like an easy gooey cinnamon roll but more an airy moist roll.
The platter was served hot and was well balanced. The gravy seemed luke warm though.
Coffee was a little bitter but I also didnt add my usual amount of sugar.

The place was busy and I had a seat at the counter. I was given a glass of water right away. Servers were friendly.

There was a 10 minute wait time which was not bad at all, from the prior reviews they are always busy. The decor was inviting. Our server JoBeth was excellent and friendly. We ordered the B& B Burger with fresh fruit. Our food was served piping heat hot. Oh my goodness their reputation precedes them. The food was absolutely delicious from the very first bite and the bacon was amazing! So crunchy.

Hats off to the cooks

We will be back

Been to Cali a few times but 1st time visiting this city. Ive noticed prices of course are lower in Texas but not by too much until I came here! Score well deserved as far as taste and service but my goodness how pricey. Over 40 dollars for one person for breakfast, unheard of for me sheesh. The food came out freaky fast though and pear French toast tasted freaky good. Ha!
Music selection was great. I don’t know if the music is the same daily but it was 70s and 80s rnb this day. Love love love it!

The food is so good! And the portions are huge. When we first walked in I was a little skeptical because some of the staff didn’t seem friendly but after we were seated the staff helping us were nice. The biscuit sandwich, bee yogurt and the cinnamon roll are sooooo good! I ordered all that food and couldn’t finish it because the portions were big but I love that because you get your money’s worth and all you have some delicious food to take home. We got there right at 8 and didn’t have to wait but by the time we were leaving there was a wait. Also they bring the receipt in an old recipe book and you can sign it it’s the cutest thing. Definitely going back when I’m
In town.

Fantastic brunch! Get there early to avoid a wait though, or put your name in the waitlist ahead of time. We got the Grilled Cheese Eggs Benedict and the Pear & Pecan French Toast. Delicious! Michelin got it right with the plate award here.

Searching for a place to have brunch and this place seemed to have great reviews. I was concerned about going solo and not being able to get a counter seat, which was the goal. Since a lot of these reviews say it is busy, that seems to vary by time and day, so definitely do your research.

I arrived on a Wednesday around 12:30 PM. Few parking spots available. No line. I walked in and was seated right away at the counter, since I was solo. It was definitely busy and lively inside.

I ordered a coffee to start. It was just normal regular black coffee with a side of cream/milk. This coffee was $5 and not sure why but that’s a little steep for a cup of regular coffee.

I ordered the Avocado Toast and the Bee Pollen to eat. The portions are very large, so be mindful what you order if you will not be able to consume or enjoy it all.

The Avocado Toast was delicious. I never had chorizo on it before but I did like it – just not a huge fan of it. I did remove, while ordering, the pickled onions that it comes with. It was quite messy so I found that eating with a fork and knife was best. Overall, it tasted wonderful and I would get it again. Fresh tasting.

The Bee Pollen was great. Again, another large portion. It wasn’t entirely too sweet and was excellent to enjoy the many flavors it contained. Also fresh tasting.

Hostess was friendly. Server was friendly. Service was quick. Good atmosphere and a lot of conversations happening inside but not unbearable. Open space.

I recommend trying this place. The menu is vast and there is something on there everyone would enjoy.

Bacon & Butter, these two words alone have magnificent connotations of cozy and comfy food. When my family and I decided to check it out in Sacramento, CA one Saturday Morning. The wait time was an estimated 1 hour and the time frame was about correct.

The signage on the street looks rustic and iconic at the same time while the front desk staff are very professionally friendly. The interior atmosphere is just as rustic and quaint.

The wait staff was just as professionally friendly and patient with looking over the menu selection, prompt with drinks and coffee (by this time was just past 12pm noon). As we looked at the items, me and my party were commenting on the unique items on the menu. We have to start some where.

We made our choices and there was: The Biscuit and Sausage Bowl, the Bacon Melt, Chicken n Waffles and my item; The Citris Poppyseed Pancake and we ordered a side of 2 scrambled eggs & Bacon.
Everyone commented on how delicious and plentiful their meals were. But mine, was a combo of delicious and unique. I never would have thought to have peeled and sliced oranges (regular and blood) on the Pancake which was also topped in the center of the oranges on the Pancake, poppyseed butter. The combo was sweet and tart with a little drizzle of Syrup. So delicious.

I typically only designate the coveted 5th Star for establishments who support the Military and Veterans. If this were true for Bacon and Butter, I wish. So I can only say the experience at Bacon and Butter deserves that 5th Star by word of mouth. As a Veteran who reviews all types of establishments, there are a few that do support us with a discount. All in all, it was a great 1st experience and look all look forward to returning to try other menu items even though our drive is over 30 minutes by freeway. Thank you Bacon and Butter foe being around for us to have.

We got there right after they opened and there was already a line, but it did go quick. We got the grilled cheese Benedict and the bacon melt, and a biscuit on the side. Both meals were delicious, very rich, and the portion sizes were HUGE. My husband and I easily could have shared just 1 plate and been super full. It can get very loud in there but it was still comfortable. I was also surprised that the coffee was very tasty as well, most breakfast spots have watered down coffee.
We got a bacon chocolate chip cookie to go, but it was my least favorite. It’s a dry and hard cookie, and I prefer soft and gooey, so just be aware if you’re considering the cookie!
