We hosted a team holiday party at Backwoods Brewing in Hillsboro and everything about our night was exceptional. The food was outstanding, the service was top-notch, and the culinary team went above and beyond to create customized sugar cookies with an acute attention to detail. Every staff member was genuinely welcoming, helpful and attentive. There were thoughtful touches throughout our event from the customized sugar cookies, carefully curated bar and dinner menus, and they decorated their space to feel like a cozy winter wonderland.
I would like to give a special thank you to Mackenzie, Madison and Jade for making our holiday party so memorable, and I would highly recommend Backwoods Brewing to everyone. We will definitely return again for future events.

Really cool location as the restaurant was an old bank converted into bar. We were able to get group reservations for the Vault room which was really a bank vault long ago. Service and beer were great. I would recommend if taking your team or have a group of friends and wanting a chill dinner and drinks.

This place is very well maintained, very cool venue with rooftop seating! We decided on a brunch on a nice sunny Sunday in Hillsboro! Food and presentation, as well as the enthusiasm from the staff, was impressive!
I got an appetizer of onion rings, and my wife got a caesar wrap! While these are basic dishes, they were presented nicely, and we enjoyed our brunch!
My wife also got the Raspberry lemon drop and said it was well made
I got the Hazy Nelson and enjoyed it, a little hoppy but exactly what I expected!

Went in for lunch on a Monday morning (they open at 11:30 am). We enjoyed our cheeseburgers, onion rings and tater tots. This time we ate inside. Great service again and delicious food.
We went for lunch on a Tuesday at noon. We were warmly greeted. There wasn’t a wait for seats and we asked to sit on the rooftop. We chose a table, looked over the menu and let the nice lady behind the bar know our orders (you order at the bar). We enjoyed looking over downtown Hillsboro, people watching and we enjoyed our food. The sweet potato fries are delicious, but the tater tots were fabulous! There is a bathroom up on the rooftop, it’s around the corner on the right side of the bar. I would recommend this restaurant for delicious food.

Wow. Some of the friendliest and best servers/bartenders I have ever experienced. No joke! Megan the bartender goes above and beyond!! I got a cheese burger and it was delish, but the warm atmosphere is what really inspired me to write a review— 10/10 will be back

The service was excellent, everyone was helpful and nice. We got several different items. The food was great, the burger wasn’t really a smash burger but still pretty good. We also liked the Cuban, just a little messy. However, the onion rings were great! I could imagine putting those on a burger and it would have been amazing. Definitely come back here for the roof top bar, great view of downtown Hillsborough.

I hardly ever write reviews, but this was such a great visit I felt the need to.
I had the turkey melt and it was absolutely delicious. My wife had the Cuban sandwich and loved it. The tater tots were nice and crispy, just like they should be. Great service, convenient location and reasonably priced.

A little busy when we arrived, but sat quickly because there was space at the bar. I love sitting at the bar in most places because I think the service is great and this place did not disappoint! The bartenders were hustling and top-notch!! And the food was so good. Loved the sweet potato fries and the special – Bayou Yardbird Sando was so good!! My husband said his burger was awesome, too!

We came for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn’t too busy, there was open seating at the bar with lots of spots available. It took a little longer than expected to have menus delivered to us, a couple employees walked by us behind the bar but seemed to be waiting for the bartender to take care of us. The drinks were excellent, I had the habanero passion fruit margarita and raspberry lemon drop. Both were flavorful and fresh. For food we ordered the pulled pork nachos and turkey club. The nachos were good with lots of ingredients but a little greasy. It’s nice that they offer tots and sweet potato fries options without charging extra, which is very rare. The turkey club was just ok, the bread to meat ratio was off since the Texas toast was really thick but not a bad sandwich. We would come back for the drinks and to try other menu items.
