We were recommended Backwaters by the concierge at a nearby hotel last year and it did not disappoint. This year we came on our own accord, and it was our favourite meal of our vacation. The key lime martini is unmatched. Amazing food, gorgeous views and atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back again!!

We ended up here for lunch while exploring on our bikes. This place didn’t look like much from the outside, but we sat on the dock and enjoyed a fantastic view of the water while eating lunch. Sarah was our server and she gave us a great dining experience. She was juggling an impressive amount of tables while making sure drinks were full and food was always delivered fast. A+ service and great food. I ordered the seafood salad and it was so fresh and delicious! My partner got the grilled steak burrito which was also really good! We would definitely eat here again if we were in the area! Try it out!

We were looking for a place to eat during happy hour. We read along the way that this was the best, so we decided to give it a try. The place has a magnificent view. I liked the food; the calamari and shrimp were good. The mini burgers had really good meat. I was thrilled. Since we still had some space, we decided to get the nachos, and I have to say they were very tasty. I can’t confirm that it’s the best because I haven’t tried any others in the area, but I was satisfied, and the signs at the entrance confirm this. Go and enjoy.

I would definitely recommend coming to this restaurant. We went there for their happy hour for oysters and a dozen oysters was only $16. The oysters were fresh. The view was really nice. We also had some martinis that were good. If you just stick to the happy hour, you’ll be really happy with the deal you got and everything. I got two roses. That were a little bit more expensive. I didn’t think that the wine was really worthwhile. So next time I’ll just order something else and I’m sure I’ll be extremely happy.
The service was really good brought us every sauce we wanted Overall if you want to get some oysters I would definitely recommend coming here to see this amazing view.
You can watch people pulling out on these crazy jet skis it looks like Ferraris you have to go watch it.
Also, while we were enjoying our oysters and our drinks, we did see a lot of wildlife such as stingrays, jumping out of the water and that was really cool.

We had a large party of 22 to celebrate my brother and sister in law’s 48th Wedding Anniversary. When making the reservation Tony, the manager was very easy to deal with and so accommodating.
This was our first time dining at Backwaters and everything was exceptional: from the seating, to the order taking and the delicious food. Everyone in our party was very impressed with how smooth the day went. The staff had no issues with having a large party to wait on. They were very helpful, took care of everyone very quickly. The restaurant was fairly busy even though it was off season. We didn’t sit outside because of seasonal allergies but were placed at a table with a view. My dining partner and I both ordered the Mahi Mahi with seasonal vegetables (carrots and green beans) and a baked potato. It was delicious. So delicious we want to go back. Tonja was our waitstaff and she was a hoot. She made the whole experience even more enjoyable despite the general loudness of the restaurant (not helped by the loud and rambunctious table next to us). We intend to return and ask for Tonja’s table before we complete our business trip.

Last night was the last night of our trip and we are so glad we stumbled upon this hidden gem. It was an impromptu celebration for my son’s 15th birthday and between the incredible food and the exceptional, kind service from Michelle it was the best meal of our vacation. Not to mention our table was directly over the water. Filet mignon, ribeye, crab cake, seafood salad highly recommended. Thanks guys for taking us in a pinch!

We had firecracker shrimp and crab cake appetizers. They were magnificent. We don’t throw that word around lightly! The atmosphere was very relaxing in large part due to our waitress, Tonya. She was knowledgeable and very personable. We will definitely return and bring others with us.
