Went to play pool. Table was ok but located right near the bar and the video gaming door so constant interrupting. Food was great but slightly over priced appetizers. The pizza was 18″ at only 15.99 was great but wish we could order a smaller size being only 2 of us. Bowling was fun but hot and trial and error with staff learning the equipment. Overall had a good night out though!!

All u can eat CRAB LEGS in Du Quoin, never thought would be able to say that in Du Quoin , I can’t wait to try other things on the Menu I got the crab legs for 26.99 u get a salad, bread or baked potato, But the Star of this cozy little Pub and Grub is Miss Katie Hess our waitress, Server and Bartender, the service was excellent and she makes a good drink, she also informed us that the Bowling alley is scheduled to reopen May of 2018, So that will definitely make this the new Hotspot and Hangout in little DQ, lots of new and interesting foods here will will definitely go back here again

Tonight, my husband, son, and I were hungry and almost everywhere in DuQuoin was closing soon. We decided to try Backwater since it’s close to home and was open. We both got a double spicy burger and our son got a grilled cheese kids meal. The server was extremely friendly, inviting, and diligent (even managed to refill our drinks without us noticing). The food came out and I’m not kidding, we were in awe. The burgers were absolutely amazing and extremely filling. We both had to take a patty off in order to eat it because they were so big. The fries that came with it were definitely house cut fries, seasoned to perfection. Being 9 months pregnant, generally I can eat a ton of food, but I got a to go box. My son (who is usually too busy too eat at restaurants, mind you he’s 3) devoured his grilled cheese in minutes and a large amount of his fries. The cook personally came to check on us as well and had such a great lively personality. For all three of our dinners, our total was $35.00 (after tax but before tip). Absolutely well worth every bit of it. We will definitely be back many many times. If you haven’t tried Backwater, definitely give it a try.

Decided to take a shot on this place after seeing a few good reviews. Called about 10 minutes ahead to place an order, then waited another 20-30 minutes upon arrival. Food was still cold. Burgers were dry, over cooked, and salty as can be. Didn’t finish. Side salad was thrown together with huge chunks of tomato and cucumber. Just very poorly made food.
Don’t know why I waited for cold food, when the place wasn’t that busy. At least the cook was nice but take your money elsewhere. A dozen different places in the county to get good bar food.

I had the loaded pull pork fries. Huge serving. I have enough to eat two days. The food was awesome. I recieved my order in a timely manner. Server was friendly .

We had a bowling birthday party here and the kids had a blast! The electronic scoring is not operational as of yet so it’s paper scoring only but for a bunch of 10 year olds it was perfect! Great party package prices and the pizza was good and inexpensive.
