First off I have to say, this place is not what I expected. It’s so much more! We went on Sunday around noon. It was very busy but we did not wait for a table. We ordered the Boudin egg rolls. I’m not a fan of Boudin but they were very good with a unique Peach dipping sauce. Also had the Mozzarella sticks, they were huge and were seasoned very well. The fried Catfish rivals my Dad’s so that says a lot, the grilled and fried shrimp baskets were so delicious. The seasonings were spot on! The Philly was amazing, as was the loaded Potato salad. Highly recommend! The only thing that I felt lacked seasoning was the green beans. They were very tender, I just think they needed maybe a little sea salt or parmesan. Something.
The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great. Can’t wait for better weather to enjoy their outdoor space. They also have live music upstairs, so will definitely be back for that. Shout out to Jamie, our server, who was so sweet and as busy as she was, we never felt unattended.

Tried Backwater for the first and did not disappoint. Friendly service, Great food, good cocktails, great live music and on the back bay of the reservoir with great views. Two stories of fun with plenty of space and things to do for families. Great place to watch sports. TV’s everywhere! A must stop if your local or from out of town!

You know in today world everyone starts by reading a review before going anywhere or buying something! Those reviews can determine if you are or aren’t and I’m here to tell you some of the reviews on here are just flat out wrong or their expectations are through the roof! The reason why I start that way is simply because most people will stop reading and go else where, but this evening I read those same reviews and frankly had to see for myself! I’m happy to report that those reviews were not what I experienced at all! I arrived at the restaurant which damn sure needs more parking, but I know this will come in time because this place was packed out! I mean genuinely packed! I walked inside and got put on the waitlist to eat for mind you my party if 8 and the wait was able 1 hour or so and in fact it was one hour which was to be expected obviously for many factors! What was different was once were seated outside which was just beautiful and really created that atmosphere we were talking to waitress right away! She was getting our starters and drinks and greeting us and welcoming us in! The started arrived fast I mean like solid and hot and ready to enjoy! I went the cheese sticks because our little one could enjoy also which on the topic this place was kid friendly in the sense of just feeling like it was ok to bring our 2 year old to a place and not feeling like we are being bothersome other families there also they also have a nice outside area with some turf to run around on and just be kids and then mom and dad can just get up and maybe help them working out the energy! Like it was nice seeing other kids just playing and live music in the background just really special! The food arrived and I went with the crab and shrimp gumbo and some people are really overacting about the size of the bowl that a good amount for me and the flavor was all the way there! My advice or input on that would turn the heat just a touch it would help everything else really pop! I also took another chance and went a dozen char broiled oysters which was hot and ready to devour which I did with some lemon! Those were great I would say I’ve had better but I wasn’t looking to compare the two I was looking to see what had to offer so my mindset was different which is important when trying a new place! A few of the family got some pasta that looked great and one of those to where you are like “let me get a bite of that” lol I was happy with the flavor and size of the order! I would say it’s a beautiful place that is doing something different but has everything write to support it! They made the invest on how we are going to last awhile and be a successful restaurant! They are of course working the newness of the restaurant hell even when the most basic of fast food restaurants open up in our community they still are getting their acts together, but support those over real individuals taking a risk to step out and create something new and genuine! I finish with in the world of influencers and content creators they can effect your own mindset about trying something new and stop your from trying what you found interesting yourself! I would definitely recommend this place! I would recommend getting your in car and just going! I loved it and I want to see this last for awhile! Give it a chance folks!

Since they are new they need a little time to get things in order. I will give them another try soon, but average at best for now. Only thing I can say is if you want good service as for Bonnie. She is super sweet and will take care of you. See you soon, I hate judging a new business off one visit. Beautiful location by the way and the singer was great.

I was pleasantly surprised for a place that just opened a few weeks earlier. It was crowded, but we were able to be seated fairly quickly. The food is good. It’s bar food, which we love. They have a few draft beers. The rest of their beers are in cans. You can get mixed drinks as well.

The decor it’s simple but soothing, the place outside was clean. Did not used the restrooms so I can’t comment on that. The area inside had a particular smell as we went through maybe like smoke or vape smell but there was nobody smoking inside that I noticed.
We had the chicken and sausage gumbo, Oysters with butter and garlic, and the shrimp baskets one grill and one fried, sweet potatoes and regular potatoes EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!! Not so greasy as well.
Oh and 2 mojitos not great but ok. ( we are not big drinkers anyways)

1st time coming here. Crawfish were big and flavorful! Cheaper than mudbugs. The service was quick and our food came out super fast. Caymen took great care of us! Will definitely return.

2 floors of indoor outdoor spaces, casual dining restaurant with a bar and tvs. We played corn hole and there were fire pits they were not on but might have driven some mosquitos away. Nice ambiance regardless. I had the Caesar chicken wrap and red beans and rice, both good. Catfish plate was enjoyed at our table with comments that onion rings were especially good. I think this place is a solid 4.5 stars and the 3.8 might be about startup stuff, we will definitely be back.

Really love the atmosphere! The service was great. I’m a lover of buffalo flavored wings and they absolutely nailed it. The Philly cheesesteak was not quite what I expected tho. It was more of an onion po-boy, hardly any steak. I love onions but it was a bit much. Only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars from me.
