Phenomenal experience, this place is a real hidden gem. I had the rabbit with mashed potatoes, they were unbelievably good. The mashed potatoes were surreal, not exaggerating. Big thank you to the two ladies working front of the house (and to the folks in the back of course!) as it was quite busy and they managed splendidly. I actually forgot my leftovers box and one of the employees chased me down the block to give it to me. Very sweet of her. It was an excellent experience, we will absolutely be back.

We had an awesome Valentine’s Day dinner at the Backstage Cafe! We enjoyed a wonderful 4 course meal served in true European style with several newfound friends. We had the Roasted Branzino Bass for 2. Others had the Reverse Sear Tomahawk Steak. The chef came out at intervals and explained some of the dishes, which made it special. Thank you Backstage for a fantastic event!

Oh we had just a wonderful time dining at Backstage Cafe for lunch with our daughter. The lunch menu was outstanding and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The Lasagna I ordered was just about the best I’ve ever had.

Solid four 1/2 stars! Sarah was our server and she was delightful. The interior is small and quaint. I’d suggest that you arrive before peak hours to get a table. We enjoyed everything that we ordered (see photos) and had a lovely time at this establishment.

This place is delicious, a wonderful surprise. Food is great, there’s an excellent variety of drinks to try, and the staff are friendly. They have limited hours, but it’s well worth figuring out when they’re open to eat here.

Omg the best place ever. This fondue was the best thing ever! We couldn’t get enough. Then I had the Alfredo with chicken and he had the ps I love you sandwich. 10/10 will come again, also HOW IS IT SO CHEAP!? thought wverything was gonna be like $20 but everything was like $7 on the menu. Come here you won’t regret it.

I ordered for take out. I’m from out of town, house sitting and picked this place because I felt like pizza. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised with the wonderful atmosphere. Wishing I could have had a sit down meal with friends or family. I went to the counter to pay for my order and the Manager was very nice and personable. I special ordered my pizza and she double checked to make sure I wasn’t over charged before I paid. When they brought me my food it smelled Devine! The kind of wonderful smells that make it feel like torture as you drive home. I ordered a specialty pizza and an order of Fonduta. The pizza is comparable to my all time favorite pizza. A chain that was very prominent where I grew up, but hard to find in Washington state. Needless to say, I loved it! The Fonduta on the other hand is soo flavorful and delicious I am in heaven! As I sit with both in front of me, I just want to devour the Fonduta and the crostini that came with it. I rarely leave a written review, but this place is worth every word! If you live near Kelso, WA and you haven’t tried the Backstage Cafe, you are inevitably missing out on exquisite food!

Amazing fonduta and the pesto was to die for! Our server was pulling double duty to make sure the movie went off without a hitch next door but still gave my partner and I excellent service. I will definitely make a trip from Portland just to come back!
