If you want to try line dancing, this is the place to go! My friends and I have been going for over a year and a half–it’s great exercise and also good for mental health and memory. The dance floor is huge and everyone is very kind and welcoming. Dancers range in age from 6 to 70 and they play all kinds of music so that there is something for everyone. Trust me, if you are older you won’t feel uncomfortable here–there are so manyof us in our 40s and 50s dancing among the young people. In between lessons there is open line dancing to all of the songs that have been taught previously.
Most of the songs danced are classified as Beginner/Improver, with a few Intermediate songs thrown in. Attire is casual and probably half of the dancers wear tennis shoes rather than boots–wear whatever you are comfortable dancing in!
The instructor, Mike, is very welcoming and does a good job explaining and demonstrating the dance steps to each song taught–usually 4 songs per evening. I don’t know how he keeps everything straight in his head, as he has to simultaneously keep the music going, count off dance intros, and talk to all of the people (some nights there are well over 100 dancers) who come up to him to make requests or ask questions.
I am always worried about trying something new and just wanted to leave this review to encourage others to come out and try dancing…I’m really glad I did!

Biggest Dance Floor in the area. Good drink prices and great bartenders. Glad to have a country nightclub back in the area. They are getting local and national country acts and have a great DJ playing the best country hits to dance to when no band is playing. This is by far the best place to watch a band in the area. Karaoke on Wednesday and Line Dance Lessons on Thursday.

Was there for the Neal McCoy show and enjoyed it. The sound was great, plenty of room for people to dance, and seating for those who preferred that. The downstairs bar was very busy and could have used another bartender at times is the only reason for 3 stars. I’m glad to see this amazing space being utilized again!

The linedancing lessons on Wed and Thurs are great. The instructors are wonderful, very patient, and willing to work 1 on 1 with ya if you don’t quite get it. The fact that kids are welcome to come and learn how to dance is awesome. Its good family fun at a cheap price. The atmosphere is welcoming and being able to go upstairs to look over the dancefloor or play darts is cool. The pizza is REALLY good and the bar staff is super nice. Best mixed drinks I’ve had in a while!! Thank you Wednesday . Overall, I’d definitely recommend Backroads and will be going back soon!!

We had a great time listening to a live band and dancing. We didn’t eat anything, and the bartender was swamped, so drinks took a few minutes. Overall, we had an awesome time and will be going back.
