Everything is made in house & is fresh! The sticky chicken salad was the best! The steak tacos were really good too! The strawberry vinaigrette was like a smoothie, good! Didn’t care for the stuffed peppers, if they were roasted they would have been great! The potato soup I don’t recommend either.

Great food selections with tons of flavor. The owner was also our chef. You’d pay a ton more if the same food was served with fancier plates and utensils. Honestly, it works the way it is. If you want a non-pretentious, delicious hand made food, then you’ll love it!
My wife is gluten free and she ordered the herb roasted chicken and loved it.

What a great restaurant! Amazing food. I had the wild mountain salad. It was so fresh and the dressing was yummy! The menu has a variety of types of food, something for everyone! Service was excellent. Definitely will be back! I want to try everything on the menu.

Fresh and fabulous! Everything we ordered was fantastic and the service was superb. We dined on the patio with our dog and they brought out a water bowl for her. Even though the patio is on main street and traffic can be loud, the sunflowers, shade and yummy food made it the perfect relaxing afternoon lunch spot. We loved the Wild Mountain Salad, Quesadilla Grande, Beer Battered Mushrooms, Chicken Grape and Pecan Salad Sandwich. We really appreciated the raspberry vinegarette dressing and the quesallidalla salsa, both were tasty, thick and plenty. The bamboo plates were a special touch. This is the restaurant that you hope to find in small towns across america offering an eclectic and cool vibe with good food, music and nice people. Can’t wait to come back for more.

We were recommended this place from a friend and boy do I owe that friend!

The atmosphere, service, and hospitality all feel like hometown/smalltown which is wonderful. But the food blew us away.

Every dish we tried was excellent. The intricate layers of ingredients in each dish are amazing. Tastes that you don’t think would go together, create an incredible result. The chef is truly a master of his craft.

The Cuban Sandwich was so good, it felt like we were in Little Havana. This was honestly the best Cubano I’ve had outside of Little Havana.

Blackened Salmon Fish Tacos were so packed with unique flavors. The combination was incredible.

The Spinach Artichoke Dip and Crab Cakes were both probably the best we have ever had. Both had a slightly different flavor profile than traditional versions and they both had flavors that made me feel like every crab cake and spinach artichoke dip I have eaten to this point was B grade. A truly great example of a great chef taking something and making it his own…and better!

The Grilled Chicken Bacon Avocado Ranch Club was so much more flavorful than any club variety we have ever had. The chicken was juicy and all of the ingredients were fresh.

I cannot recommend Backroads Bistro enough! If you’re in the area, you owe it to yourself to stop here and grab a meal. You’ll thank me later

So good! Very reasonable prices for the big portions of homemade food. I got the Cuban sandwich and the potato soup, and my boyfriend got the chicken fettuccine alfredo. Would come back! Everything is served on single use plates with single use utensils/cups/etc. I do wish they would use reusable stuff, but as it’s a pretty small place I’m guessing they don’t have the space/staff to deal with dishes, which is fair!

Very tasty, flavorful food. Wasabi potato cakes, salmon tacos with pickled onion and black bean corn relish, and Light battered crispy mushrooms. Don’t let the plastic tableware and paper plates deter you. Service is above and beyond.
