Excellent burgers, friendly staff. The only complaint is the wait time…but maybe that’s a small price to pay for having fresh cooked burgers (?). Just don’t expect your visit to be speedy. The kids value meal is a great deal!!!

I worked for 3 years at Backyard Burgers at 2 different locations. I haven’t ate at one in almost 8 years. I came to Birmingham for a concert and was really tasting a Backyard Burger. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. I had to wait for over 15 minutes for my burger, and the burger was dry. If I have to wait 15 minutes for a burger, I expect it to be fresh, but this wasn’t. That wasn’t my only complaint. I also order some chili cheese fries. The fries were cold. Once again, if I waited 15 minutes for fries, I expect them to be fresh. I was also expecting Ms Grazi sause on my chili cheese fries. Now I know its been 8 years and yall may not carry that anymore, but that was a disappointment. All in all it was a terrible experience and I will not eat at this one again. I may try the other one close by, but this one, I will never eat at again.

I went about two weeks ago and got an order to go – three burgers and three large fries. When I got home only 2 fries in the bag. How hard is it to count to three ?
I went back a few days later and mentioned it but no one offered me a refund or free fries. Like an idiot I went back Saturday when temp was about Zero and stood outside to order. Four or five people inside wandering around. I’m at the window and they saw me but never opened it.
Now there were only two cars in the drive thru so they were not swamped – just lazy. . So I drove off and went over to Milo’s.
I guess they can survive without my money but I did go there once a week at least, sometimes more..

The food is great and honesty if you are used to the price of real food, not this fast food crap everyone compares this place to, then the prices are not high. The employee taking the order was either not paying attention or something because I had to repeat my order about 4 times and he still got it wrong.

Left after waiting in drivethrew for 35mins, when they told me it will be 10 more min to cook my food. That location sucks, the one in river chase is better. Burgers are good but not waiting 45mins for!

they offer a 1/3 and 2/3 lb burger because that’s the amount of mayonnaise they put on the burger. I do not like mayonnaise period, but especially when it outweighs the burger itself.
