A cute small pizza place. Less than 2 minutes off the highway. The staff was friendly and the customers seemed like regulars. They have a small convince like store in the front that had some essentials. They had lost of options for soda (all bottled). The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We got a large pizza, a salad, fries, and 2 sodas for about $25 total. Its great place to stop on your way from Maryland to Indiana.

This is my favorite pizza place I have ever eaten at! It may sound like I’m exaggerating but I’m really not, any time I get pizza anywhere else I can’t help but wish that I had gotten backroads instead. The crusts on their pizzas is outstanding, no place has a better crust than them. The amount of cheese they put on is amazing, and pairs perfectly with the sauce. They also put a perfect amount of toppings. Their food quality doesn’t stop with pizzas either! They have delicious Italian subs ( a personal favorite of mine). The staff is also very nice whenever we go in, and they have a cute little cat that hangs around outside, the food also never usually takes more then 30 minutes. I live probably less then a mile from Back roads and we order from them most weekends, so please trust my opinion in me saying this place is a hit!

Stopped here on are way home and ordered a large pizza with pepperoni to go. The very friendly staff said it would be 25-30 minutes. It not only was done on time! But a friendly staff lady walked it out to my truck!! The pizza was awesome!! Lots of cheese and two types of pepperoni! Absolutely delicious! We will definitely be stopping every time now! Pizza, salads, subs! They’re all great! We have ordered several times since just moving to the area and we love having a place near us that we can pick up lunch or dinner while we work on the house! Everything we have ordered has been great and the service is excellent!

I have only used the takeout option but it looks comfortable to dine in. The pizzas I have gotten were much better than the average in this area and I really liked the subs as well.

Great little pizza place to stop in and stretch your legs. The staff is friendly and the pizza was awesome! The dough and sauce are house made, which makes for some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. It’s NOT the cardboard crust that is doused in garlic butter you get from Papa Johns or Dominos. No, this crust is light and fluffy with no frills or maskings, and has just the right amount of firmness to hold the toppings in place. We will definitely be back!

This place has good potential, unfortunately the owners must not want to reach it. KITCHEN CLOSES AT 7PM store closes at 8pm. Lots of locals are very disappointed in the people who now own it and how it’s being ran. I hope to either see this change or a change in ownership to someone who actually wants to run a “restaurant”
