The interior of this place was impeccably clean. The prices were very inexpensive. The barbecue was delicious, the pork was tender and falling apart on my fork, the chicken was delicious and tasty, the homemade sides were excellent as well. This place is definitely worth the stop off of the highway if you’re traveling on 91 North or southbound, and have craving for BBQ. The staff was very friendly, and checked to make sure I was enjoying my food. The restaurant is one street off of Route 5, so you’ll have to make one additional turn once you get off the highway.

The ribs were SO GOOD! And under $10 for ribs, bacon braised cabbage side and a large tea. Can’t beat it. Service was friendly, restaurant is no frills but very tidy. Would recommend if you are in the area.

This was my first time at this BBQ Joint, which opened last spring. I was welcomed at the door and asked where I was from. The staff was friendly and I was shown where the buffet was set up. I went on a Friday to check out the lunch buffet.
There were a select number of items and all were homemade and very good. The food was hot and fresh and replenished often.
My favorite was the beef brisket that was very tender and had a nice smoked flavor. There was also smoked pulled pork , Brisket Chili, BBQ Beans, Roast potatoes and carrots and Mac and Cheese. All were excellent. I also purchased some cornbread, which was excellent, but not part of the lunch buffet. You cannot have BBQ without Cornbread!
There are also daily specials available as well as a nice selection of other foods on their regular menu. They open early and serve a nice breakfast selection including Biscuits and gravy. I will have to come back soon to try them.
The interior is raw wood and has a nice cozy feeling. It is also kid friend with plenty of room for them to roam around the table without bothering others.

We went a little late in the day…the food was amazing. The cabbage with bacon was excellent. The pork was a little too salty for me but my husband and kids enjoyed it. The brisket is the best that I have had outside of Texas. The corn bread was pretty good. The owners definitely care about their customers, they each visited our table…certainly a place we will visit again.

Decent BBQ. A little dry, sides were good. Had ½ rack of ribs for lunch. Not as good as Smokey Bros or Bub’s.

The brisket was plentiful and yummy. Very moist and mildly seasoned. 2 flavors of BBQ sauce are offered and both were tasty. Their baked beans were awesome with chunks of pork and very good too. Seating offered inside and out.

I was amazed ! This was just surprisingly Great ! We celebrated my Grandsons Birthday Dinner there. The owner was very friendly and came around to see if we were happy with our meal. If you want good BBQ go by ” Back Porch BBQ ” give it a try, really good Barbecue especially the ribs !!

The smoke on the meat was perfect and the peppery rub was delicious. My only criticism is the coleslaw, good but two years ago it was perfect. The prices are fair and the portions are average. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling through the area.

Very friendly place!! Food was GREAT!! For real BBQ prices were good!! Plenty to eat brought enough home to get close to 2 more meals!! BBQ Beans and Brisket Chili were the bomb!! We will be back for sure!!

Wonderful pulled pork although I prefer the BBQ sauce cooked in but the sauce itself was divine, the less spicy offering. As a southerner turned local I would suggest adding so.e fine local corn on d’Cob.
