The name of the place told me it might be a hidden gem, and my instinct was right! The food was incredible!!! I had the Jack Dempsey (roast beef and swiss) with a side of WWII (potato casserole)… it was like my grandmother had made it. This will be my new stop every time I am passing through the area!

Stopped for lunch today while in Opelousas, and the food was delicious. The staff was very sweet and personable and they had several regulars visit while I was in there. Definitely will be visiting again when I’m in Downtown Opelousas.

Go here if you have the eyes and taste buds of an 80 year old. The place is dusty and covered in cobwebs, not to mention the cockroach we saw running across the floor. The food was flavorless and despite them not being busy, they didn’t know who ordered what. The bathroom was not just cluttered, the clutter was covered in a layer of dust, including the bleach bottles littering the floor. They obviously don’t use them often.

The food is really good. The decor and atmosphere are unsurpassed in my book. Service? They knocked it out of the park a real jewel. I’ll definitely return in the future and recommend Back In Time to friends an family alike. Thank y’all. And our first date will be that much more memorable.

Tablecloth sticky and had crumbs from previous diner. Server was wearing a stained sweater .. though very friendly. Food was mediocre. So much dressing in my sandwich that the salad was falling out.
