This was my 1st time at this establishment. I saw a FB post about the Beef Ribs so I decided I would try because I love a good BBQ beef rib. The yams were good. I thought for $50 per rib/ pound it was going to be phenomenal. My Dino Rib was ok, it wasn’t hot, it was an 8oz bone, 3oz of fat/membrane and 7oz of meat. Ehh

It was all fire, sorry we tore into the nachos before I realized i didn’t take a photo so here’s one nearly finished. This is Real BBQ unlike some other places not too far away, I really can’t recommend it enough. Anyone that knows me knows BBQ has its own place in my heart. This guy gets it.

Yall have got to try this place if u love some good BBQ!!! EVERYTHING was absolutely AMAZING!!! We had brisket, baked beans, Mac n cheese, potato salad and Cole slaw! Normally I don’t like Cole slaw but this is made from scratch and is PERFECT! Everything was seasoned to perfection as well!!! I’ve been here before in the past and it was delicious than and the presentation was great but when we went this past Sunday I ordered a brisket with some other things and we paid 36 dollars just for the 2 orders of brisket alone and they put our brisket in the same carry out tray and we were charged to much for what we got! The brisket was cut up in small pieces and the serving size was just to small for the price! The ribs we also ordered with sides was sloppy! All together we spent 50+ for nothing! If it’s not the owner making the food I’m not eating there ever again!

Honestly, we’ve been to a looooot of bbq restaurants in places known for their bbq. Memphis, Alabama, Little Rock, Asheville… this place right here at home is absolutely top notch. Hidden gem right outside of Iroquois Park. We did a sampler, rib tips and beef sausage, baked beans and macaroni and cheese, plus we had to try the wings. Every single thing was delicious and fresh. Chan (the owner) is knowledgeable and unapologetic about his food, friendly and up front too. I appreciate a man who has pride in what he does, knows what he’s doing and is willing to put in the hard work and effort to perfect his craft. There’s a lot of time and energy, blood and sweat into good barbecue… and that’s where the price comes in. This ain’t cheap food and it doesn’t taste like it either. The portion sizes are more than generous. I can’t recommend Back Deck enough.
