The Beck Door offers an alternative to the club if you want to get out and enjoy the city.They also offer several options for Vegetarians that is sometimes hard to find in a bar setting. Flavors are simple but great to the palette! Summer was a great bat tender and was absolutely determined to satisfy out consumer needs. The chef spent lots of time talking to us and was very informative. Although I am not a meat eater myself are hear the smoked wings w/ no sauce are worth the visit. As a veg head I recommend the Brussels and the wonderful sauce!!

My brother and I stopped in for dinner this evening and their food was delicious. This location just opened up this weekend so some items like the Smoked Bologna Sandwich and alcohol are not available yet, but their smoked wings, brisket, and Mac n cheese were really good. Will have to stop back in to try that smoked baloney sandwich and get another order of the wings. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. She provided some recommendations to help us decide on what to get.

We were a party of 20-30 and the staff handled us like a champ!
Service was on point, food was soooo flavorful and it was a nice laid back atmosphere that came with a jammin DJ that kept us on the floor
There is also a quaint back deck with seating
Parking is across the street- caddy corner from the building
The owner made sure all our needs were met

I stopped by Back Deck Bar and Lounge on Story Avenue to meet a colleague for a drink.
I stepped in and was warmly greeted and seated. After taking my drink order and leaving a menu, I was left to peruse.
My colleague arrived but only had time for a drink.
I was hungry so I ordered Napoleon Tots with pulled pork.
My colleague and I discussed our business and before I knew it, the tots were delivered to the table.
They were delicious, all sorts of tasty toppings.the pork was soooo good.
Our server was attentive but not overbearing.
I recommend you stop by soon!

Pulled up only to realize it had shut down but still states it is open on the website. Went to the BBQ location expecting some good que but the it was mediocre at best. The wings were like warm, ribs were tender but I didn’t care for the seasoning, and the brisket was tender but bland for my liking. Guess I’ll get some really good BBQ when I go back to Memphis.

Bartender was awesome (Arika)! All the smoked meats were the bomb! The family platter was just the ticket! All 4 meats were the best BBQ I have had in the Louisville area. Wednesday’s is 1$ wings!!!! Highly recommend

We have been there twice to give them a shot after a mediocre first time after opening.
First time was decent. We had to park in a remote parking lot caddie corner to the restaurant. Don’t mind, we like to walk. The bartender recommended the wings so we jumped on that. Unfortunately they came out a little cold but the flavor was great. No sauce needed btw. We also got Mac n cheese which was also Luke warm the brisket tacos were pretty good as well.
The second time we came we sat at the bar again and had a different bartender. She seemed genuinely disinterested to serve us. I had the back deck bites(hamburger) and my wife had the pulled pork platter with greens and baked beans. All came out like warm.
I feel we were singled out as others around us that ordered food after us got their food before us the hamburger bites. 2 people had lamb chops and the other had ribs.
The owner seemed very nice both times. Especially the second time as he stopped and talked to us several times. I honestly think he caught our vibe and didn’t know how to handle it. Go at your own risk. I honestly think they are a little judgy there and tend to not give people good service based on appearance.

Loved the food and drinks here. Generous pours for the money and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and you should definitely try the Smoked Wings and the Fried Catfish there as they are a cut above anyone elses on those. Good spot, low key interior vibe and roomy seating. Casual attire seems fine for the venue. Going back soon for lunch again.

Chan does not mess around when it comes to absolute excellence in smoked food. Timing and availability of certain items might not compare favorably to other places, but every bite I’ve had from Chan’s truck, original restaurant and the lounge has been “oh my God” delicious. D and I love just plain brisket; Chan’s is the best we’ve had. His burnt ends are ridiculous. I haven’t had his smoked wings in a couple years, but I still remember how juicy they were. No Ranch for you! The lounge has Brussels nuggets that make you want to stuff the whole basket in your face, and I am eager to try the other meatless options, which seems silly when the meat is so good, but it’s all good at Back Deck. The lounge has a cool vibe and a nice big bar, and we were treated very well by our servers on both of our visits. We will be back. (Side note: D wanted brisket on our second visit, but wasn’t hungry enough for the platter. She asked if she could have just a plate of meat with no sides and she was served a nice portion of brisket at a very reasonable price)
