Terrible first experience.
Portions are described as BIG but turn out VERY SMALL. For example a plate of “Seekh Kababs” was said to have 6 pieces which in reality was 2 proper seekh kababs cut in 3 pieces each. Taste was stale and half the items in mixed grill seemed reheated.

Yesterday was our first visit to Back Country BBQ! We had lunch with friends and we really enjoyed the food. The staff is very helpful.

We were a group of 10 and were seated at a single table.

Try the “Bullet”! It is a cooked Jalipino ( so it is not hot and is only flavorful) stuffed with cheese and brisket, wrapped in bacon! It is $5 and will worth it. I will go back again just fot the “Bullet”!

Try the Back Country BBQ restaurant. I don’t think you will be disappointed!

Randomly found this location, and had a decent, relaxing meal here.
It’s cafeteria style, and there’s plenty of meat options to choose from, along with sides, etc.
While I did have the brisket meal, I’d recommend using some extra sauces/seasonings, since it was a bit neutral in taste in general. The sides were decent, but I would’ve preferred gravy for the mash potatoes.
Staff is very outgoing and friendly, and there’s plenty of seating options throughout the restaurant (and things to look at like in one of the pics I took).
Overall, if you don’t eat here regularly look up the menu online to figure out what you want so you don’t get overwhelmed with the options.

Great food and just what you need after a very long drive. The owner Scott was very friendly to us folks from overseas, too!

My family loves everything about Back Country BBQ, from the meat to the sides to the desserts! Everything tastes so good and we always recommend Back Country as one of the best bbq places in the state. The employees act friendly and provide excellent recommendations and service. The restaurant features plenty of seating while still feeling comfortable and cozy. Overall, Back Country BBQ is a great place to do dine in or take out for BBQ!

My first time trying this restaurant. It was okay. The staff was polite and accommodating. I would have liked more beef on my potato. The pecan pie wasn’t sweet enough for me and had an overpowering cinnamon flavor that I didn’t like. I’ve never had cinnamon in pecan pie It is a bit pricey for the portion sizes. My brother and SIL enjoyed their meal They also have a lot of space inside to accommodate large parties.

Finally, an “old-school” BBQ place. I’m tired of establishments serving “wagyu” brisket at inflated prices that go against the ethos of what BBQ is. Here you will find excellent specials, tasty sides, really good smokey flavor, and a staff that makes you feel at-home. I’m a big fan, especially for lunch.

Everything about this place is great!! Had the brisket and pork ribs which were both some of the tastiest I’ve had in a while. The place feels very homey and it probably has to do with the trophies that were donated by a long time customer because his wife made him deconstruct his man cave and the pretty stained glass windows. Sides were all so tasty sounding it was hard to choose but I settled on the cream corn and baked potato casserole both again . Have had other more expensive “big name” BBQ places that didn’t come close to this flavor. Definitely a hidden gem. The staff was all so friendly and welcoming I’ll definitely be making this my regular Dallas area BBQ joint whenever I come to town.

For 25 dollars I got the basket plate with a drink and 2 sides.

The place is clean and roomy. At 1230 I was shocked the place wasn’t busier as it’s solid bbq. The brisket was tender and smoky. The bbq sauce is AMAZING with just the right blend of sweet and spicy. My only complaint was the Mac and cheese was cold and weirdly peppery.

Overall though I would definitely come back.

My first time here… definitely not coming back.. been craving a fully loaded bake potato with chopped beef, they put very little meat, but when I mixed everything together the meat disintegrated!!!!! I could only bite into potato and fatty parts in which I thought was supposed to be meat!! Very disappointed
