Wow I am so glad that I stopped into this restaurant when I was going down the road. The meal I had was so good. It was called the slammer. It was a sandwich with BBQ pulled pork layered with coleslaw and pepper jack cheese, heated until melted. Served open-faced on a homemade roll with baked beans, potato chips and pickle. The restaurant had so many different old items to look at inside. The music playing was from the olden days around the 50s. Was just a great place to stop and have a meal. If I come back to Vermont I will make sure I stop back here for a meal.

We ordered “back behind sampler” steak with house salad, clam chowder soup. Food is very good except salty clam chowder soup. Also service was too slow and poor. Had to wait for 20 mins to be seated, 20 mins to get menu and 20 mins to check out. There is a long line of waiting but no hostess to take care of Customers. Come here If you have a lot time to kill.

Ended up here after one of the main places was full and was actually glad we did. Food was delicious. Fall of the bone ribs. Brisket was great. I don’t really like baked beans and I ate those too. All of us had left overs. Service was good. I did not have room for desert but finished that also. Inside the restaurant is very cool. Will be going back next trip to Vermont.

Pretty good BBQ and really cool, retro dining room. Very nice staff, but the bathrooms weren’t far from a port-a-potty. Good thing the food made up for that.

I can’t believe I found this spot while driving by in the mountains. I was so hungry so when I saw the BBQ sign I immediately turned around. Can’t believe how heavenly the food was here. Hannah was my server and she was super kewl! Ask for her, she makes you feel soooo welcome. The food and service here is tops!

Good bbq for the region. Pulled pork was decent. Ruben sandwich was good. Pulled pork nachos were the best part. Macaroni and cheese balls were inconsistent as some were large and the smaller ones were burned a little.

Slow, slow, slow service doesn’t even begin to describe this establishment. Slow to take our order, even slower to at least bring us our beverages, appetizer took awhile, and then finally our food. The food was very good. We kept things moving when we received our bill so we didn’t get passed by and then we were out if there! Not like it was that busy, don’t know how they do it during a big season rush, but we won’t go back, to many other choices.

We had good a experience customer service wise, but we were also the first ones in after they opened 9 on a Saturday. Their dinner section was closed for the early afternoon and bar + bbq menu was in play only, but they accommodated us and seated us at a normal table with the kids.

Food was over all good but the 12 hr smoking claim seems off. Ribs were fall of the bone but lacked the smoke flavor of truly smoked only ribs. The beans were very good, the chicken was good, and the house made ice cream was delicious. The duck wings are a big skip, they were over fried with a huge taste of burned oil. Beer selection pretty good and cocktails not bad although overpriced for the establishment.

Perfect place for a great meal. We had the lasagna, brisket sandwich, and the mac n cheese balls. The portions were so much that we will have lunch tomorrow!
