After making reservations in advance, we came here with a group of friends on New Years Eve. There are multiple parking lots and garages in the area to park, or use their valet. We were seated right away and our server (Derick) was very attentive. The food was absolutely fantastic and prepared just as we ordered. They even brought out several items for us to try (no charge). My wife and I each ordered the Fillet Mignon, and it was delicious… one of the best I’ve had in quite some time! The dessert menu was good too, we ordered the Creme brulee and the tiramisu… both excellent choices.
If you haven’t tried Bacchus for dinner, I would definitely recommend giving Bacchus an opportunity to serve you an amazing meal.

This restaurant has a lot of potential to be great. I had it bookmarked for a year or so, prior to going for the first time in December 2025. We were originally supposed to be a table party of 8, but unfortunately, we were only 5 in the end. When I made the reservation, only 5pm and 8pm seatings were available. However, the morning of the reservation, I asked to change to a later time if possible and I was grateful that they allowed us a 5:30 time slot instead.
The service was very slow, even after we confirmed that the 3 last guests were not attending. From waiting to order food, to waiting for bread, to waiting for our food to come – each wait was painfully long. This was nearly a 3-hour dinner service from the time we were seated to the time we left. We ordered a baked brie as an appetizer – which was pretty decent and flavorful. For an entree, I ordered the lamb, medium rare, with an additional side of duck risotto. The lamb was very rare, and it came with a couscous under it (see photo). It was some of the worst couscous I had ever had – no one at the table liked it. Around 6:30, an hour into us sitting down, a large party was sat in the dining room just behind us. They were so loud with guests in their party shouting constantly that it was hard for any of us to have conversations during dinner. I was grateful for the candle in the creme brulee for my birthday, but I didn’t care it either.
I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. Had the service been quicker, or even just more attentive, I’d have considered trying the restaurant again after this time. It was unanimous amongst all of the guests in my party that we were disappointed and wouldn’t want to return here.

Where does one even begin when talking about how great Bacchus is? They hosted our micro-wedding dinner (12 people) on October 31 and it could not have been more perfect. Catherine, the events coordinator, was incredibly helpful, even on short notice after our initial reception location fell through, and she made us feel completely at ease leading up to the evening. Derek, our waiter, was amazing, attentive, friendly, and absolutely on top of everything. And the chef, who loaned us the wildest knife to cut our cake, made the night even more unforgettable.
The entire evening was exceptional. If anyone is looking for a place to host an event in Buffalo, Bacchus is the place. We could not recommend it more highly. We will definitely be back, just the two of us, for dinner and drinks very soon. The photos do not even do it justice. Just go and see for yourself.

Pork chops had a savory delicious sauce, making the dish outstanding. The halibut was also outstanding. The sword fish wasn’t well liked. Service was excellent and drinks were tasty. Valet service is complimentary- a nice touch. Historic building was pretty on the exterior.

I ate here last night with my parents and partner, everybody absolutely loved their food and cocktails. Unfortunately, my steak had to be brought back twice because the temperature was wrong and not what I ordered. However, our server Anthony was wonderful! From start to finish he worked so hard to make sure our food and experience was wonderful! He not only corrected the steak issue with the kitchen but comped our dessert and my cocktail. If you end up having Anthony as your server, you won’t be disappointed. Such a kind, attentive and hardworking server!

Our experience at Bacchus was excellent. We were celebrating our anniversary and we were well taken care of. We had a selection of small plates, wine by the glass, and dessert. The service in particular was very good. Our server, Sara, had a great sense of timing and was really helpful as we decided between choices. 10/10 will be back!

Perfect place for celebrating a special occasion. Our waiter David provided great pairing choices for wine to go with our dinners, we toasted the night, and the delicate way my swordfish was prepared made it the most savory I’ve ever even had. Not to metion desert. Wonderful evening !

First time last night and it did not disappoint! Anthony, our server, was phenomenal . The food was fantastic (Caesar salads, shrimp crusted halibut and roasted duck). While we did not imbibe, the creme brûlée and French press coffee that is served as a dessert is perfection. All of the wait staff present was a well oiled machine, bringing bread, new tableware as needed, even removing used dishes and packing leftovers. It has been a long time since I have been to a restaurant that has had this level of attention to detail and service. Well done! I would highly recommend.

We had an excellent meal with great service! We ordered the lobster bisque and Caesar salad which were very good. The tuna tartar and mushroom truffle mac and cheese were excellent! And my son had the squash ravioli which was very good. Our server was attentive and sensitive to our needs. Sadly, I don’t remember her name. They have a nice wine selection, and I was able to find a wine that I really enjoyed by the glass.
