We were very skeptical walking into Bacchus Lounge. We had seen a newspaper clipping from back in January 2019 boasting their gumbo and creole cuisine. However, upon walking in it looked like more of a bar. Very laid back, old looking tables. Nothing fancy. The restaurant in the front is more fine dining but that is not really our style. We were craving something like a bistro or brewery type of feel. Walked into what was more like a laid back bar & gril . Was very skeptical as the menu ranged from pizza to entrees like grilled pork chop with jambalaya.
Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised. The gumbo, grilled pork chop, jambalaya, and collard greens were fantastic. Great flavor that definitely does not match the subpar decor. Could use some renovations.

The fresh oysters were delicious … but the rest of the food was terrible… we had fried green tomatoes, quesadilla, and jambalaya croquettes… we told the waitress… she said sorry… but didn’t fix anything. We usually love this place…. no idea what was wrong tonight… seemed like OLD dirty oil in the fryer. So sad.

Bacchus Lounge is great. Attached to Russo’s restaurant but with a different and more relaxed menu. Their drinks are so strong and delicious! We loved going there prior to Covid, and are patiently awaiting the reopening of this part of the business. Russo’s is open and we’ve gotten some incredible carry out from them, but I miss Bacchus. My gosh their pizza is homemade and some of the best I’ve ever had! When they have their Mardi Gras menu, I highly recommend!

Went there for some Oysters and martinis…they make very good dirty martinis but the rest of the food was awful and totally overpriced! $15 for 6 tiny oysters…are you kidding me? I also ordered the Pork chops…worst pork chop I’ve ever had, they were so salty they were almost inedible. I’m surprised this place has lasted this long? I won’t be back

We were told by the bartender to sit down at table they set up for us, just to sit there for 45 minutes completely unacknowledged. We asked someone who worked there about a server and still no evidence of communication to provide service. No one seemed to know what was going on – employee wise. It almost seemed as if we were being ignored. Would not recommend if you’d like a positive experience.

OK if you love Pizza you need to have there pizza. You know when a pizza shop offers basil as a topping they know pizza. Thus place is a must try. Great crust I don’t know why this place has no reviews I will come back and try there white sauce pizza next. Great job nice people and everyone works hard to serve you

Most overpriced place I’ve ever eaten. $10 for a CUP of jambalaya that was not on the appetizer but the entree part of the menu. Obviously still hungry I ordered a $12 “chicken po-boy” that was more like a bread and mayonnaise po-boy with 2 oz of chicken.
I honestly have never left a place feeling like I just got pick-pocketed. Cant say that anymore.

Terrible. The prices are so ridiculous it’s more like a bad joke. Poor quality food. Apathetic management. Is it a creole restaurant ? Or an Italian restaurant? Don’t waste your time or money here.
