What an amazing restaurant. The wine list is extensive, but the sommelier was so helpful. The food is extraordinary. We had the Foie gras and the yellow fin tuna crudo – the preparation was perfection – as good as the tuna itself was the vegetables under were a revelation. The Jonah crab had the right combination of sweet, tart and butter while the parsnip bisque was a silky as it was delicious. The venison and duck mains were very good. They also had a cheese plate option that allowed us to try some interesting cheeses to finish. The staff is very knowledgeable and made several recommendations which we appreciated. we will be back!

Stopped in for a quick drink and bar bite. Ended up having a fantastic experience with excellent food. Service was top notch, had the waygu burger (will be back for that and more). Manhattan was one of the best I’ve had. Had a great time!

Swung by Bacchus after work because I heard their burger was among the best gourmet burgers in Milwaukee and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a Waygu patty with the option to choose from three cheeses. The one I chose was a bit buttery and complemented the patty perfectly. The egg was supposed to be over easy but came over hard. The patty itself was cooked medium and has to be the best and most accurate medium I’ve had in a burger. Usually I have to box or leave unfinished, but I finished this despite being pretty full. Fries were just okay.
Got the goat cheese curds for the appetizer and they were good, but far too overpriced.
The bartender was very friendly and explained in detail and accommodating.
Its a fine dining restaurant so it may require reservations during normal hours but there was plenty of seating at the end of the day.

We went for our 4th anniversary dinner! Zoey and Isabella made sure our experience was absolutely perfect. We did the 6 course chef’s tasting menu and I would do it again in a heartbeat. My favorite of the courses was the Hudson canyon sea scallops. An absolutely perfect night!

My boyfriend and I did the Chef’s Tasting menu and it was incredible from start to finish. Every single course was amazing but our favorites were the Guajillo-Glazed Octopus with pork belly and the Hudson Canyon Sea Scallop! We’ve been sleeping on this spot and can’t wait to go back to order a-la carte or do the three course menu! I highly recommend!!

Overall, great food, service, and experience. Highly recommended. We had a rocky start when our group of ten got seated 45 minutes after our reservation time, but the staff recovered with great service. The owner even came out to check in with us. The foie gras, tempura mushrooms, and cheese plate were standout appetizers. The filet, veal medallion, organic chicken and short rib were excellent. Our Italian exchange student daughter loved the Bolognese. The molten lava cake and sorbets were also great. Our waiter Alan made us feel like we were his only table. Thanks, Bacchus!

Had a lovely time there on New Year’s Eve. Dinner was delicious! Black truffle ravioli was great. Veal soup wasn’t what we expected but it was okay. Scallops is so far the best of all the restaurants I’ve been to! The filet mignon was overcooked when I cut it open but they quickly had it remade and It was cooked perfectly the second time. We loved both dessert, thought chocolate would be really heavy and dense but it melted in your mouth right away and the flavor and sweetness were just perfect for us. Overall it was a great experience. We stayed for the party and really enjoyed our time there. Will be going back to try their regular menu for sure!

We love to try out Milwaukee restaurants during downtown dining week. We were so excited when Bacchus was a part of it! Unfortunately it was a little bit of a let down for the price of the meal. We had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation time before we were seated, and we had to wait another 5 minutes until a server stopped by once we sat down. We finally got our drinks and appetizers. I was very happy with the sunchoke bisque, but the pea risotto was not good. It was disappointing to get such a flavorless dish, it really needed salt and pepper. The main course was the highlight. We liked the steak as well as the salmon a lot. The flourless chocolate cake and the lemon curd desserts were also tasty. Overall, I thought for the price and prestige of this restaurant, everything should have been perfect, and it just didn’t quite hit the mark. I did like the atmosphere of the restaurant, but I can’t see myself going back.

We celebrated my birthday here last weekend and everything was phenomenal! Our server Sarah and her assistant Zoe were fantastic! They both were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The cocktails were delicious! Our appetizer and our 3 course dinner were to die for! We were so stuffed by the end of our dining experience! We will definitely be back for another indulgent evening!

I loved the name – the Roman god of wine! When I saw the menu, I immediately made a reservation, and it did not disappoint. My husband and I are wine lovers, and we did the 6-course menu with wine pairings. My husband’s not an adventurous eater, but even he loved it! Come hungry!! You will definitely leave happy. We had excellent service from Autumn and Naliah (apologies if I got names wrong). The next time we are in Milwaukee, we will definitely be back!
