Bacari in Sherman Oaks is a great spot if you’re looking for healthy food options paired with excellent wines.

The place has a nice, slightly romantic atmosphere with a rustic and cozy vibe, making it perfect for a casual date, a relaxed dinner with friends, or even a quiet solo meal.

The food overall is good and well-prepared. Nothing really stood out as extraordinary for me, but everything tasted good and felt thoughtfully made. If you enjoy greens, fresh ingredients, and healthier choices, this is definitely a place to consider.

Another highlight is the ambiance—it’s very picturesque. The space is beautiful and great for taking photos, whether just for memories or something to post on social media.

It is a bit on the pricey side, but that’s understandable given the quality of the ingredients, the way the food is prepared, and the overall dining experience.

Overall:
A nice place to visit when you’re in Sherman Oaks, especially if you’re into healthy food, good wine, and a charming, photo-friendly setting. Worth checking out.

I had such a wonderful experience at Bacari restaurant. The menu had plenty of options, everything we ordered was perfectly cooked and delicious. Prices are fair for the quality you get. Our server went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Cozy setting with a great vibe! Can’t wait to return!

This place is so good! It’s really cozy and I love sharable style restaurants. The portions are small so if there’s more than 2 people depending on what you order might be wise to get more than one of the items, like the sliders. I tend to sit outside because I usually bring my dog to eat with me, I love the way everything looks, only complaint is how close all the tables are to each other, it can get hard to hear what the people at your table are saying. Other than that great food and great service!

I’ve always had a great experience at Bacari Sherman Oaks. It’s such a cozy spot with an amazing atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed night out. The live music on weekend evenings adds a really nice touch and makes the experience even more special. The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and the service is always top notch. Every visit has been consistently enjoyable, definitely one of my favorite spots in the area.

Edited to add: my date actually did email you guys in response to a “hope you had a lovely evening” email the night of our dinner. Never heard back.

We’ve been to Bacari many times—mostly at the West 3rd location, and occasionally in Silverlake—and it’s always been a pleasure. Unfortunately, this was our first time at this location, and it was very disappointing.

As always, the space itself is beautiful—but not at our table. We were seated in a cramped spot between the bar and the kitchen, between two overflowing trash cans. The ambiance was ruined by harsh fluorescent light pouring out of the kitchen’s swinging door. Honestly, this table should not even exist—it’s in a high-traffic area and clearly an attempt to squeeze in two more diners. Even one of the people who brought food to our table commented on how tight the table was, and how hard it was to fit more than one dish at a time.

Still, we tried to make the best of it and asked the hostess if we could move when a nearby table opened up. She explained why that specific table wasn’t an option, which was fair, but she also said, “We won’t forget about you,” and promised to follow up. We never saw her again—until we flagged her down at the end of the meal, when she awkwardly mentioned that a table had just opened up (clearly too late to matter). If she had simply come back earlier—even just to say a move wasn’t possible—we would have appreciated the honesty. Instead, the lack of follow-through felt dismissive and unprofessional.

We mentioned the overflowing trash cans both times we spoke with her, and no one made any attempt to address them, whether we moved tables or not.

Separately, our server was kind and the food was good. But there were issues with the drinks—multiple ingredients were unavailable, and in one case, the bartender asked if we were okay with a substitution. In another, they just made the change without checking. One of our dishes never arrived at all.

We still tipped well, because our server did the best he could. But between the uncomfortable table, the unclean environment, and the lack of accountability from the host, we left feeling disrespected and disappointed—especially after spending over $150 for two people.

Bacari was exceptional. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The mac & cheese was incredibly rich and easily one of the best I’ve had. The fried chicken sliders were perfectly executed, but the standout of the night was the Asian pear and brie pizza—an inspired combination that was absolutely phenomenal. We ended with the Medjool date cake served with ice cream, which was decadent and memorable. The service was attentive and warm, and the atmosphere was cozy without feeling crowded. A fantastic dining experience all around—highly recommend.

The food is so good. I try the shrimp ceviche the kale salad the mushroom pizza and the oven roasted chicken and omg. Food so good. But I give 2 stars because of the cleaning and the people who work there I was sit at the bar in the Sherman oaks Bacari and the lady bartender she step her foot on top of the bar to tie her shoe she touch everything and also the fruit that goes inside the drinks. Another waitress she came and she touch everything too and she also get the lemon with her dirty hands and put the lemon all the way inside the drinks that was so nasty. And few other things like that that I see.

I’m surprised the rating isn’t higher! We came on a Saturday morning without a reservation. They were able to seat us indoor immediately. The outdoor has a more pretty setting with greens and a relaxing vibe, but we were happy to have AC on a summer day. All food is smaller serving size and meant to be shared like tapas, though for someone not having a big appetite, one dish could be enough. Our meal started with the lighter smoked salmon pita and salatim, transitioned to the mujadara with stronger flavor, and finished with lamb hummus and Bacari burger. The fresh pita was warm and soft. Plenty of delicious vegetarian and vegan options too. Definitely exceeded our expectation for a 4.5 and for sure will return!

This is the first time I have ever been to one of the Bacari locations. This one, in Sherman Oaks, is excellent. My daughter, Lauren, picked this restaurant. I was surprised, because Lauren usually picks out more expensive restaurants.

Bacari is a tapas type restaurant. The prices are reasonable because the portions, and the plates, are small. They recommended ordering three plates per person.

We ordered one plate for each of us and a Margarita pizza to share. The pizza was excellent. I had the Bacari burger. It was amazing. My wife had sea bass, and our daughter had a filet. We all enjoyed our meals.

Service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. In this restaurant, they bring out each plate as it’s ready. That encourages people to share and socialize.

The restaurant was quite noisy inside. They have a nice little courtyard with outdoor seating. It was slightly less noisy in the outdoor courtyard.

For people who want to lose weight and still have delicious meals, I recommend Bacari Sherman Oaks.

The food and service was great but the outside for dinner kinda sucked. If you like not able to see what you’re eating, then this is the place. I just hate it when restaurants don’t provide enough light to read the menu and the food. It was so dark, only a couple small jar of candles. The see the food plating might have been nice if I was able to see it! Everything you order it’s like an appetizer…good enough for two person. Otherwise you’ll be ordering many dishes just to get enough to eat. On the plus side, we tried about 9 dishes for 4 people…they were all delicious. Come earlier, before dark if you’re sitting outside. Please…replace the lightbulbs outside that’s barely working, maybe , just maybe it makes a difference, if at all. Warning… do not park next door at the strip mall, we saw two cars being towed, apparently they are watching people parking there and walked elsewhere.
