Perfect spot for a brunch date. My partner and I love trying new spots and we will definitely be coming back. The vibe inside is chill and is not overstimulating at all. Our server Ellen was amazing. She didn’t rush us and allowed us to take our time. She was intentional with her time spent serving us. She also hooked us up on some pastries because it was towards the end of their service. I also feel that what you pay vs. quality/portions is worth it!

I will dream about that breakfast sandwich periodically until I have it again, and any sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich I have will be so, so sad!
The yuzu tart was amazing. The croiwaffle (I don’t recall if that was the name, but that’s what it was) was superb. The egg curry tart a delightful surprise!
A great spot to grab and go (between 8-10 with open seating) but still experience great foodie pleasure!

So many things worth trying. My faves were the yuzu tart and cream filled donut (I don’t see too may mentions of the donut, but it has a delicious dairy pastry cream). The egg sando was good, but the bread is toasted (grilled?), which it usually isn’t in Japan. Salmon bowl was a bit underwhelming, especially for the price. Vegetable snacks were interesting: similar to Korean banchan, but fancier.

There was little to no wait on a Saturday morning for takeout counter or dine in, and the takeout service was very friendly. Their baked goods are very strong, food was delicious, but we weren’t that impressed by the coffee. Highly recommend coming for a bite and cute vibes.

We had the best experience at Babychan and it almost didn’t happen. I had Open Table reservations for 1:30pm and wanted to change to 11:30am and didn’t catch that Open Table confirmed a different date. By the time I realized, it was too late for my original to be rebooked and no.phone number to call. In a panic 2 hours before the rez time, I messaged that I cancelled my original rez in error and figured it was just a hard lesson to learn. Nope, they messaged right back and got us in at the earlier desired time! What great service! This was our anniversary celebration too so especially appreciated them! What was also great besides the hostess and server was the food…the caramel miso latte, kanaage chicken, and strawberry sandwich! We will definitely be back. Thank you Babychan for the wonderful experience.

I had such high hopes, especially after coming back from Japan. We went on a Saturday and the line went all the way outside, it was crazy. We decided to leave and went back on a Monday.
We got the egg sandwich, chicken sandwich, fries and that was underwhelming. Now the French onion soup was the best I’ve ever had. We also got the strawberry sandwich and tasted like nothing. I wanted to love this place so bad but it’s just ok for me.

Such a great experience! We booked a table for lunch in advance — super easy and no wait when we arrived.
In the photos: French onion soup, Cinnamon Toast, chicken tonkatsu sandwich, and strawberry cake. The French onion soup and Cinnamon Toast were absolute standouts – we’d come back just for those! Can’t wait to try more items on the menu next time. Our waitress was fantastic and made the whole visit even better.

Let’s be completely honest and transparent, overhyped and pricey are the first things that come to me when I hear babychan. There’s no doubt that the food here is different but delicious. Receiving an authentic Japanese food in the nashville area is a blessing. Loved the chicken sandwich, loved the slice of bread with an egg on top, the strawberry sandwich is okay if you never had it before. Their matcha was something I enjoyed but coffee and other things I wouldn’t order it. All you see in the pictures was close to 80dls

Delicious Japanese inspired food and pastries!
We got the seasonal kabocha filled brioche doughnut (not too sweet, a lot of pumpkin cream filling, and a crunchy sweet topping), the breakfast sando (tamagoyaki egg, sausage paddy, and sauced buns), and curry puff pastry (a little curry, delicious chili oil, a runny egg yolk and crispiest layers).
Everything was unique and high quality. Will definitely be back.

With the new reservation system, it is so efficient and easy for a visit. Service is great. Food is delicious as always. The atmosphere is amazing too. You can also take a stroll in the neuhoff district with their free parking validation. They also try to make it a little different but still sibling like with Kisser.
