I attended the monthly “What’s the Tea” drag show here the other night and had the most fun I have had at a drag show in a while! The holiday themed cocktail menu was delicious. Out the four I tried, my favorite was “dancing sugarplums.” I did not check out the food menu, but I do know one was offered.

The music deserved five stars. Everything else: 3. Hubby and I dined in Friday night. The cocktails were not balanced- everyone we ordered was on the sweet side. I would definitely try this place again bc the music and ambience is amazing. Also half of the menu food items were out, lol!

Baby J’s Bar is so awesome!!! Food is always on point and drinks are killer. Their music is a perfect mix of 80s to 90s to newer music and always jamming. Their happy hour bites and drinks always hit the spot.

Baby J’s is our go to spot for a night out. The cocktails are *amazing* and the live jazz is fantastic. They do a good happy hour, but most of the live music starts a bit later. They post their music schedule online and it’s worth checking out and planning ahead. It’s definitely my favorite place in Gainesville!

I haven’t tried the food here, only the drinks but they are good. If you are looking for a more chill, nicer spot to meet up with friends in Gainesville then this is a good option. It is definitely fancier than most places in Gainesville. It is really nice and clean inside. Overall the place itself is pretty small. Sometimes they have live music.
The drinks are somewhat expensive but still not bad considering it is a nicer place.
My only complaint is that our server could have been more attentive, and in the end when we were ready to leave we couldn’t get her attention for over 15 minutes so we just went to the front to pay.

Pretty chill vibe, feels like you’ve been teleported to a big city environment. The staff is very friendly and they are very upfront and honest about their menu. They’re self described as a dry forward bar, so don’t expect much sweet flair from their drinks. Luckily they do offer patrons the ability to add whatever you want to your drink, overall a very great vibe when combined with the music and atmosphere around you. 9.4/10
