My husband and our adult, disabled son share a birthday on April 15th. I asked Baby Cakes to design a cake that would put the best of both worlds, so to speak, into one vision so that we could celebrate them together. I did not order it quite in time, so I had to wait until the 16th to get the final product, but it was well worth the wait! I provided the items that I wanted them to be sure to include that both of my guys liked and a few pictures of the kind of theme that I was going for and they created a masterpiece of delightful entertainment that everyone at the gathering thoroughly enjoyed! Our son couldn’t wait to get at that cake! Oh, and I had asked for strawberry flavor for the cake, and boy, when we opened that box! The whiff of strawberry was so intense! That was the BEST tasting strawberry, moistest, most tenderest cake I have ever had the pleasure to eat! Now, don’t get me wrong, it was suhWEEET! So prepare your taste buds! And with three layers to our cake, there was PLENTY to go around! Everyone was satisfied! THANK YOU SO MUCH, Baby Cakes! I highly recommend your services! And your store is ADORABLE! I can’t wait to come back and look at all the goodies inside–and not just the sweet stuff. I think I saw a gnome or two and other nice things to check out! My pictures include the video of the cake, some still shots and the satisfied end of it! It also includes a shot of the store front as I waited with great anticipation for them to open so I could hurry in and get the cake I had ordered…there were two other ladies waiting for them to open too, so they are apparently very popular!

I cannot say enough great stuff about MacKenzie at Baby Cakes, who with a short convo on the phone a month ago about my weird child was able to create this beautiful ADHD cake for my beautiful ADHD child, pulling together travel, music, Steampunk, and NCIS, and making them all work, and it’s all buttercream and modeling chocolate!!!
I chose Baby Cakes because when looking at their site, one phrase stood out to me: they prefer working with modeling chocolate to fondant. I love cakes that are made with modeling chocolate, because they look as clean and sculpted as those with fondant, but they taste a million times better!
I had different flavors for each of the tiers: Cookies & Cream, Caramel, and Marble. Each flavor came through perfectly, and each one tasted amazing!!! You could taste the butter in the cakes. They were so moist and delicious!
We also picked up a Lemon-Blueberry Baby Cake to bring home and share as we prepared for the party the following day. It was delicious. The lemon cake was sublime, and the fresh blueberries throughout brought the perfect balance. MacKenzie is truly an artist and an amazing baker, so she has cemented her place as our go-to for any cake needs!

I’ve been there multiple times since they opened. GREAT SERVICE, decadent goodies, clean and beautiful place with a great atmosphere. Everyone who works there is so fun and friendly. The baked goods are clearly made with love and well worth the price. You can see the detail they put into the cakes, cookies, and cupcakes. I also got a pair of earrings from here as well from the little shop inside here. Great experience every time we come here. We love the specialty baby cakes.
