Featured on Triple D once before and hearing things about Baby Blues BBQ I had to try this place myself. My brother and I were in town for family stuff and we took the opportunity. When you walk in the door you notice lots of open seating, with seating outside as well. Cool old time pictures all over the walls, with diagrams of all the cuts of meats and with the smell of BBQ in the air. With all the cuts of meats and all the different sides (fixins) it’s definitely a place to try if you’re in the mood for some BBQ…

Delicious!!! 100/10

Food: Delicious variety of options (including vegan which was really good) and multiple options of sauces.
Staff: Very nice and friendly, service was really quick and they came to check on us to see how was everything.
Space: Sat in the backyard, really nice vibes, the had two TVs and a heater with picnic table.

Best BBQ on the Westside.
The brisket is insanely soft and tender, the kind that melts the moment you bite it. The fries are always perfectly crispy—exactly how I like them. I’ve been coming here for years and it has never disappointed. Consistent, delicious, and easily my go-to BBQ spot.

I’ve been coming to Baby Blues for years and was really excited when they reopened. Unfortunately, my experience last night was disappointing. The prices they charge in the restaurant are higher than what’s listed on the menu online. My to-go order included the sliced brisket platter, which was $4 more in the restaurant than the online price, along with an order of hush puppies. The menu shows $4 for 3 hush puppies, so that’s what I thought I was getting. Instead, I was charged $10 for 6—something I wouldn’t have minded if they were good. But the hush puppies were charred, like they had been refried after getting cold.

The mashed potatoes and mac and cheese were just alright, and they don’t offer gravy for the mashed potatoes. I also wasn’t a fan of the cornbread. The brisket, though, was delicious and seasoned perfectly. I asked for butter and honey, and the employee told me they were already in the bag for my to-go order, but they weren’t.

I truly believe Baby Blues has great potential, which is why this visit was so disappointing. Being charged more than what’s listed online and receiving food that doesn’t match the price point was frustrating. I hope they tighten up these issues because I’ve always enjoyed them in the past.

Food was not tasty to be honest. I’m no bbq expert but I do have taste buds… Brisket was on the cold side, dry and tough. I had to put way too much sauce on it for it to be consumed. Chicken was blah…. Sorry but honesty is best when leaving a review.

I stumbled upon this place as I was looking to go to another restaurant that’s was closed for in dining service. Best thing that ever happened to me. Normally, it is hard to find a good bbq place but boy was I surprised by this place. The service was great. 3 different people approached me to take my order before I decided on what to get. I chose to e 1/2 pound chicken, Mac and cheese, collard greens, potato salad and beans along with some tropical punch Kool-Aid. Where can you get that these days? Ty r food was very well seasoned and the chicken had a great smoke taste to it. The best was by far the collard greens. They tasted like my grandmother was in the kitchen making them. This place didn’t disappoint at all. I will definitely be going back there. If you want some good food along with a cozy atmosphere, this is definitely the place for you.

How is it possible this restaurant doesn’t have a 4.5+ ⭐️ rating?!

The food and decor is great but what brought us back a second time on our five-day vacation in California was the exceptional service. Absolutely EVERYONE we came into contact with was super friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. The employees and owners seem to sincerely care about their customers having a fantastic experience and that is evidenced by everything they do!

I’d love to see even more interesting photos ️/memorabilia on the walls but that’s personal preference

PS – try the banana pudding!

Got an order of ribs. Ribs came out overcooked and very dry. Plenty of sauce but all of the moisture and fat was completely cooked out. Was very disappointed as I was looking forward to this place.

I was sad to taste their food the last two times. It is not the same. The ribs were undercooked, the cornbread is over baked and they took their best veggie off the menu, no more spinach. Their coleslaw is bland. What happened?

First time here after many years of driving past this place. Was hesitant due to a 4.4 rating, but gave it a go. Food is about a 3.5-3.7, as I ordered Memphis ribs which were not tender and quite dry. I let the waitress know, but I decided to just eat what was on the plate not to waste that food. Collard greens were good, nothing stood out, stewed with tomatoes, Mac n cheese seemed bland to some degree. As others mentioned, the cornbread is the standout item. My waitress was exceptional and the vibe is cool. Not sure if I’d go back for ribs. Price is about on par with other bbq spots, $29 for the plate. Think my Dr Pepper was $4.50? That’s insane. The key lime pie was good $7.
