Stopped by for a quick bite. Old fashioned hamburger , fries and a drink.
Burger was okay. Fries were the worst french fries I have ever been served. I took my fries back to the counter, demonstrated that the french fries were super-dry, burnt and actually snapped in 1/2. The employee agreed with the poor quality, asked the cook to drop another order of fries in the fryer. 20 mins later, I never got my fries. No body has acknowledged if food was okay or If I even needed anything else. Honestly, there are so many other good restaurants with in 2 miles that serve hamburgers. No need to return to an establishment that does not care about their food quality or customers.

I have been visiting Babe’s for many years, but over the last two years, the dining experience has reached an entirely new level. The mushroom cheddar burger is the standout, perfectly balanced with rich, melted cheddar and savory mushrooms. We went to the Babe’s on Heubner near the Medical Center. The burgers are usually very good, but yesterday was the exception. They served my friend and me our burgers with burned buns. My friend ate his, I just ate the meat and fries, and threw the rest away. It didn’t taste good. Why would you knowingly serve burned food to your customers. Did you think we wouldn’t notice? It was very obvious, and it ruined the taste of the meal.

Whenever I’m craving a burger my go to place is babes. They have some of the most flavorful and juiciest burgers in town. In addition to the burgers the onions rings are also really good. They also have great customer service, one time they took to long to get my order out and as an apology the gave me a free order or onion rings and mozzarella sticks, can’t beat that kind of customer service.

Service was really good. The hostess/cashier is very sweet and welcoming. She made sure we got our burgers ordered right (we don’t frequent Babes). The food was amazingly fresh and delicious. We ordered bacon cheeseburgers with fried jalapenos and the fries/ring basket. Every bite from the first to last had us rolling our eyes. It was my wife’s last meal before heading down the road to the hospital to have our daughter and we had ZERO regrets choosing this location. Thank you Babes!!

I’ve been frequenting 3 of their locations for 15 years now, including this one.
All I can say is they have NEVER let me down with their juicy, flavorful burgers. Their fries and onion rings are also the bomb diggity. I have NEVER had a complaint with this place.
They have salads and pizzas also, but I recommend sticking to their kick ass burgers. You will not be disappointed!
It’s walk up and order at the counter style, then they call your name.
They have a very large selection of canned and bottled beer.
One word sums this place up, and that is CONSITENT!

I like the old timey look they always keep. Now I’ll tell you right now that the food is exactly as advertised chicken tenders are like the best thing on the menu but beware the burger it’s delicious but the grease will get to you later on. Service is awesome they really want you to feel at home

Adding to my review below from a year ago. Stopped by again today to have lunch with the family. These folks are still putting out quality 5 star food. We had the spicy chicken strips, burger, fried mushrooms and other sides. You can tell these guys and gals put love and pride into their beautifully presented dishes. So tasty and hit the spot. Even though there aren’t servers here and it’s an order from the counter type of spot, they more than earned the 25% tip we left. Also couldn’t help but notice the genuine love the cooks showed an elderly customer who wasn’t feeling well. Classy folks running this place!

Family and I came here today, Sunday, for lunch. I haven’t been to a Babe’s for over 20-25 years but was curious if the fried mushrooms, chicken strips, fries, burgers, and honey mustard were what I fondly remembered from back in the day. I felt like it was a slim chance that the food of my younger years would still hold a candle but these folks delivered. From the sweet lady with the classy hairdo running the order taking to the sweet gents running the kitchen, 5 stars. I had to tell the staff how appreciative I was that they are still keeping quality high while staying authentic to their tried and true recipes. These guys take pride in their craft and I love that. Keep up the great work! Will be back for more.

I go there to order my food. The number five combo. I add an extra and I get home with my to-go order and it’s all messed up. I drive back. The manager is very nice. Very kind and redoes my entire order. I leave again and check my order and there’s still one thing missing. I go back in. They profusely apologize. I completely understand people have off days so why be angry. They kept a customer. The food is amazing. I probably shouldn’t be putting this on here, but the manager after as well as the other two cooks are very handsome. I understand people have off days but they were very quick to fix a situation and they kept a loyal customer.

The gravy was also very good 9/10
The French fries were OK. I like them a bit more crispy and these are a little bit on the soggy side. Maybe ask for a bit of extra cook time when I come back.
