We arrived about an hour before closing, so our food came roughly 30 minutes before the store closed, The sister that took our order was super nice and friendly she insisted we stay and eat even after the store was closed. The food tasted fresh, seasoned and delicious. This was my second time here so I brought my siblings and we will definitely be coming back.

Very healthy Afghan cuisine. It has delicious platters with chicken meat and rice. The service was excellent and friendly staff. I highly recommend people to check it out. For desserts I ate awesome cheese cake which was not too sweet.

This Mediterranean restaurant is the best spot if you love platters. I would recommend their chicken over rice platter. I ordered the platter through uber eats and it came in good quantity as it would be when you order in person. The staff here is always friendly and will do what you tell them over the phone with your food.

I was hesitant because I read in reviews the service was bad, however I was greeted by Mike as soon as I walked in. I knew exactly what I wanted which was the mixed plate and the seasoning was so good, meat was not stale but tender. Whatever white sauce they use is the bomb. I really wanted a buttermilk coconut pie but they were out so I got the banana pudding, OMG!! As you see in the picture I could not put the spoon down I’m getting 2 next time. I will definitely be back for the food, service, and the cool jewelry from India and Turkey.

As a native NYer, Halal food is a staple. My husband and I wanted Halal but didn’t want to do the long drive to those other Guys. After checking our neighborhood, we found Baba’s. I read the reviews and I was like, let’s give it a shot. BEST DECISION EVER!
The owners son, who now runs the business, greeted us warmly. I want to say his name is Rohullah, but if I got it wrong I am so sorry. Not only did he greet us, but he takes the orders, prepare and cooks, and runs their social media. He did an amazing job. And I say that because with my first bite of the mixed platter (chicken and lamb), I was sent back to that cart located on the corner of Lefferts and Rockaway Blvd in South Ozone Park, Queens. I looked at my Husband and we both agreed, this was the closest to a taste of true Halal from home! We also got the banana pudding that was yummy.
Will we be back, YES SIR!!! Those other Guys have nothing on Baba’s!!

Normally, I’ve had good experiences at this restaurant. Last night I ordered a lamb rice platter. The child behind the counter told me it would be about 15-20 minutes. I came back inside and he said he didn’t realize there wasn’t any rice prepared, so it would be another 10 minutes. I was patient. I come back inside AGAIN and it was still an additional 10 minutes. I asked for no white sauce and was handed a plate of food full of white sauce so it needed to be remade. The young man seemed to have an attitude but that’s not my problem. To make matters worse, I found a long piece of hair in my food (my hair is curly, this doesn’t belong to me) . Disappointed is an understatement.
