Excellent food-
The fries and gyro were delicious, and service friendly and fast. Since it is order at the counter and then sit down and wait, the atmosphere is somewhere between fast food and restaurant. The food, however is quite authentic and wonderful. Good lunch place in the heart of the historic district.

Not only is the food excellent, so delicious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating for me and my toddler they went above and beyond to make sure I found something on the menu that would work and even made recommendations to help me find something for my husband who’s obsessed Cava! Our to go items were so well packed to ensure nothing spilled on our hour car ride home.

Went there from the salty pelican. Wish we would have came here first. After leaving after an appetizer, we came here. Was a delicious gyro with a glass of wine. Will come again when in the area. I had the chicken gyro. Hubby had the lamb. We also had the hummus. Was ok.

I’ve went 3 times in the last six months, first time great, 2nd even better! 3rd time half the meat on the Gyro, a 3rd less fries. Why? It’s at a premium price? I’m probably not going to back why? Well it was 32 bucks for me and wifeepoo, and for that I want to be full not just a pita with a lot of lettuce.

Google Review for Baba’s Mediterranean

Baba’s Mediterranean on Amelia Island is an absolute gem! From the team behind Café Karibo and Timoti’s Seafood Shak, this new spot delivers on its promise of fresh, healthy, and flavorful Mediterranean cuisine.

We had the pleasure of trying several dishes, including the Mezza Platter, Falafel, Baba’s Bowl, Shrimp Pita Roll, and Baklava. Every bite was delicious, with vibrant flavors and high-quality ingredients. The falafel was perfectly crispy, the Shrimp Pita Roll was packed with flavor, and the baklava was the perfect sweet treat to end our meal.

Their menu also offers mouthwatering classics like gyros, shawarma, and seasonal specials like the Mediterranean Veggie Stew. If you’re visiting for dinner, don’t miss the Braised Lamb Shank or Roasted Chicken—great options for a heartier meal.

The service was warm and friendly, making the dining experience even better. Baba’s truly has something for everyone, whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or enjoying a full Mediterranean feast.

Highly recommend checking out Baba’s Mediterranean at 11 N 3rd Street in Fernandina Beach, FL. It’s a must-visit for locals and visitors alike!

Don’t let the tiny size fool you. This restaurant has big flavor! Delicious and fresh items continuously updated while keeping local favorites until sold out each day. Walk in and order. Short wait for your freshly made items gives you an opportunity to browse the dessert display case or find indoor or outdoor seating. Generous portions with scrumptious sides. Authentic flavor you wouldn’t expect to find in a seaside Florida tourist town.

Ate a lot of food and yet I don’t feel bloated. Very fresh and wholesome food. Decent prices. The gyro was better than the sharma pita.

The falafel was over cooked and had no taste. The bulgur wheat/ rice was bland. The couscous pasta salad was over powering in tasting like vinegar definitely not flavorful.

Almost $30 for 2 gyros.. I’m home and still hungry, very little meat. Meat was old and dry.. nothing seemed fresh. Served with plastic utensils and paper plates. Low class, guess they’re trying to make their money off of tourists. But like the last restaurant that was there, I believe this one will soon be gone too. But if you want an excellent gyro go to the farmers market on center street on Saturdays. That guy has fresh greek food that will fill you up and not leaving you feel like you spent too much on cheap fast food..
